The Greatest Generation and MTT's

0

So I've been working at CardRunners now for over a month, and its been pretty good so far. Interesting to see things from the other side. Definitely a cool group of guys to work with.

As far as life goes, the past month has been pretty brutal. My grandpa died.

He was one of the nicest men you could ever meet, and could fix and do anything. I'm kinda ashamed to never have changed my oil once. Yet he was replacing an engine in his truck up until 2 months ago. One of the last times I spent with him at his house when he was taking breaths after his Obama rants. I talked to him a little about WW2. He worked in a sub base in Pearl Harbor. He wasn't ever under fire or anything, but he told me about how he would spend time at the hospital there. And just how mind blowing it was the sacrifices made during that war, and how it affected so many of his friends. That will always stick with me. Love ya Grandpa.

On a WW2 note I'm really excited for the new HBO series premiering this week "The Pacific". If its even remotely as good as "Band of Brothers" the wait will have been worth it.

As far as poker goes, I've undertaken a new wrinkle of poker. I am now an MTT grinder (see how excited i sound in 2 months). I'm going to be setting up a pretty full schedule 4-5 days a week. I'll let ya know how that goes, and countdown 2 months til Vegas, yee haw.

Oh and I'm bringing back the CR chatroom, so please feel free and join me in there, if I don't respond right away, I'll try and notice it.
