So my first day at Cardrunners......

0

Hola my name is Joe and I live in Phoenix, AZ...

Just a little backstory I tore my knee up last year in April, and couldn't continue my job as a courier. I finally was able to get ACL reconstruction and the cartilage cleaned up in my knee. Luckily my folks aren't jerks and when my lease was up allowed me to move in with them to cut down my bills since I knew the medical bills would be coming. Well I really took up the game of poker at that point to pay my meager bills (basically just a car payment and various medical bills). Only problem with having a pretty small bankroll is withdrawing every month pretty much all the winnings. Well I was never a 40 hour a week grinder since I can tend to be kinda lazy, so everything I made was taken off. My bankroll never really grew much at all and after a while I just got used to being a hermit.

Well an opportunity presented itself last Friday to join the CS staff here at Cardrunners so I jumped at the opportunity. It was kind of nice to know that I won't have to withdraw my poker winnings and can actually allow my BR to finally grow. So I can progress as a poker player and not feel like such the bum I was turning into. Also I'll be able to rehab my knee along with doing the CR stuff from home so that was a blessing.

I currently am grinding SNG's to get a very stable solid poker bankroll before I move to Vegas in May and take up cash games again. Going through my worst downswing since I started playing the $12 turbos currently. I am going over a lot of my hands on SNG wizard and at least my shoves pretty much aren't supposed to be folds. The only thing is I think it might be effecting my aggressiveness near the bubble that typically was my strong point, as I'm trying to make sure I cash rather than shove when I should. Anywho I'm going to try and at least blog once a week to update about how the ol' BR is coming along.

A hui hou
