10NL so far

So far i've played over 100k hands at 10nl and i've done ok, learn't quite a few things along the way. I've played around with a few different styles and feel more confident with how i'm playing at the minute. One thing i've noticed is when you watch some 200nl vids they give up less than i would normally so i tried some of the this and found that 10nl players generally when they raise they have it so i stopped calling down as light, here's my 10nl graph so far:

I wouldn't mind playing 50k or so more at 10nl to get myself into that mindset i have when i play good, the main thing is i've realised some of what i'm doing wrong so i can try and put that right and play better.

Moving up

So after letting Verneer look through my 5nl hands and stats i started at 10nl, my first 23k hands didn't go too well mainly due to running bad:

It knocked my confidence slightly so i decided to drop back to 5nl for a few thousand hands to get my head right. While i was playing 5nl again we went through some more things like 3betting and squeezing, aswell as discussing hands, then i was ready for another go at 10nl:

This time i ran ok, still a couple of swings but im happy with my winrate so far and there is a big change in my game (stats wise). I still think i can increase my winrate if i stop making hero calls. Ive got a second monitor aswell so i cut down to 8 tabling and taking more notes which should help. I've also added in 50bb tables which i think are good. So so far so good. Hopefully the next time i update ill have increased my winrate a bit more and be taking shots at 25nl.

Introduction

Hey, i'm Adam (adamwil on pokerstars) and this is my first blog. I started playing in 2008 at 2nl then moved to 5nl 6 tabling and doing ok but had problems winning at 10nl+ So i ended up sticking to 5nl and cashing out some of my winnings. By September 2009 i had cashed out most of my bankroll and had $15 left, so i decided to run it up playin limit holdem and get back to 5nl. A while after i found i could play 19 tables of 5nl and do pretty good, heres my graph since ptr started tracking:

Ten months later and still struggling with 10nl i decided to pm Verneer on 2+2 to see if he could help. After speaking with Verneer and going through some things i've started taking shots at 10nl and hope to move up the limits pretty soon, so i'll post updates of my progress here.

-Adam
