been playing well for the most part and winning at a normal rate. only blemish was the other day where i was down 8 buyins to one guy who i didnt play well against, even though i came back a little and ended up only 5 buyins down. since 6/24 i've played about 2.3K hands and winning at a 16BB/100 rate.

im really glad some players are really bad. he still has 30% equity here, but this hand would have tilted me so hard had i lost.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2816950

i really dont like his preflop call here. even with him flopping two pair, im still 47% to win.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2816964

and now a couple big losers. i know he has aces here, and against a hand like AA35 im 47% to win getting better than 2 to 1 odds . unfortunately he flopped extremely well and im only 5% to win. either way my call preflop may not even be +ev. if it is, its not +ev by much.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2816976

i really hate my play here on the turn. my thinking on the flop was that he would fold a ton (true) and when he did call i would have outs. on the turn though hes only putting more money in the pot with the nuts. i should have just called flop and called turn and folded river against this opponent.

playing well and running decent. played about 60 hands of 1/2 hu nlhe yesterday and won about 60$, and played in a 30$ sng today for fun and ran well and won for 150$ or so. been 1-2 tabling plo mostly though and doing well- 300+$ over 300+ hands.

QJ77 has been my money hand today. im really against him stacking off here, but it shows why hes profitable.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2801723

yes, i know he has the nuts. but upon further review i still have 47% equity making it right to stack off here (i think).

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2801739

pretty standard postflop. if hes folding AA in this spot ill run him over.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2801747

only hand where i lost more than 50bb, and i got unlucky, even though its kinda a cooler after the turn. the guy two barrelled often which led me to go for the chk/raise on the turn and not the flop. i would be quite unhappy with this hand if i wasnt an overall winner on the day. i 3bet this preflop a lot but from the way he was playing i decided not to.

a few hands

took a break this weekend for some gf and relative time, which isn't completely over. however, just got in about 40 min of one tabling, again. lost a buy-in early but came back to net 160$. lost a couple mid sized pots where my opp got lucky, but ran pretty average overall.

relatively standard all in. too bad he has the same draw and i only have 33% equity.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2791559

the very next hand after the previous link. could have pushed on the river for a psb, but decided to bet smaller because i was pretty sure he didn't have a boat and i wanted a call.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2791568

he wasnt a bad player, but im pretty sure he should mathematically fold preflop, even though my range doesnt entirely consist of aces.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2791575

tough hand here w/ a good result. dunno exactly what line to take on the turn (chk/call, chk/fold, chk/raise, bet/call?) or on the river (bet/fold, chk/fold, chk/call?) good result though. even though he has showdown value he probably thought he was freerolling the river by betting.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2791580

interesting hand here where i bluff and get caught. i figured he would cbet any good hand. he instacalled turn making me think he was on a draw, but i also knew he would cbet a flush draw on the flop. on the river i think he has either TJQX or two pair with a K a high percentage of the time. i raised big to make it look like i wanted to get it in, a concept even many medicore players employ.

inching back

more one tabling 1/2 hu plo. honestly, my winrate goes up massively when one tabling, but i havent figured out if my hourly rate goes up which is why i normally 2-4 table. anyway, won 300$+ over about 2 hours on one table. i did run above average, but i feel like i played well.

i had been pushing this guy around a lot and i get it in w/ the nuts with him drawing dead.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2777361

here i win a cooler against a very lag opponent. he will stack off with any Ace here, while i am stacking with probably AJ or better againt this opponent.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2777383

here i didnt put him on a made hand and get caught bluffing. most people raise the flop w/ two pair and/or bet the turn with a boat- this guy didnt. i think his play is suboptimal in the long run, and i ended up winning it all back.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2777394

if i am calling a turn bet, i should almost always be betting the turn imo, but i felt this opponent would bet almost any hand on the turn after i checked. also, unless he has 57 i dont think he hit a straight, because a hand like 79TX is raisiing the flop near 100% of the time. anyway, i end up losing w/ 67% equity.

so here i am on one of my biggest downswings ever. i feel as though i have tilted off some chips, but i am also running god awful at omaha. i lost around 2.5k yesterday, and probably about 900 of that was spew. i have resorted to one-tabling for now at 1/2 omaha hu and so far the strategy is not working. i am playing of the biggest stations ever- someone who called two pot sized bets w/ AK64 on a 3T78 board.

last night the experiment started and i lost an all in after he massively spewed and got lucky. losing w/ 85% is fun. he hit and ran right after the hand.

its just very frustrating when i have a flush my opponent hits a boat, or when i have a set and the flush hits, or whne i have a straight and the board pairs or teh flush hits. those have been happening at unbelieavable amount of the time lately.

also, i have been making many plays where i am good against my opponents range, but horrible against his particualar hand. i have lost to quads w/ top set twice in the last few days as well.
