Blog before church

What up everyone? So Friday was my first winning day since moving to CO and then I took yesterday off. I went over a lot of my hands from the past week and saw quite a few mistakes I made where I could have saved money. I also watched a nutedawg video which was really really good. Whenever I watch a good vid it always inspires me to try and play amazing poker. So we'll see if I can do that today.

So Friday night we went out to downtown and had a great time. All the bars we went to seemed pretty cool. Also Friday my roommate and I went in ran in the mountains/hills and saw some amazing views. We could see all of Fort Collins and then some, it was pretttttty sweet. Obviously running up wasn't the most fun thing ever but it was worth it and then the run down wasn't bad at all. Well I'm about to head to church, hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Poker is a bitch that I want to hit in the face over and over again. Ran 1800 below EV the last 3 days and had 4564357357 messed up coolers. Shaping up to be my worst month this year. But of course I will continue to sit at tables and tryyyyyyy to win money. Oh but the weather here in CO is nice.

Colorado!

Blog by : WinItAll3

So I moved into my new apartment on Friday in Fort Collins and then immediately went with my family to stay with my aunt and uncle for the weekend in Colorado Springs which is about 2 hours from here. Did a lot of hiking through the mountains and saw some awesome views. I got back home on Sunday and finished unpacking my stuff and setting everything up around the apartment. I have not been feeling all that great over the lat 4-5 days but I did manage to play about 4.5 hours today and was down a little bit. I felt a bit rusty after 5 days off, and that combined with being sick made for pretty mediocre play today as I didn't seem focused at times. But I'm sure I'll get back into it in the next few days. I need to put in about 30 hours this week to reach 100k hands on the month and I'm still hoping to get into the green. A lot of times near the end of the month I start slackin on trying to be focused and playin my A game, so I need to put some extra effort into it every session to finish the month off strong.

A break from the grind

Blog by : WinItAll3

I have been busy the last two days and was only able to put in one two hour session today...I played good and was up 389. Tomorrow I start my move to Colorado with a ten hour drive to Amarillo, then Thursday I will have about a 7 hour drive to Fort Collins and then will move into my apartment on Friday. So I probably won't play again until Sunday or Monday. Obviously this month has not gone how I had envisioned it...I have played 75k hands and am down about 1200 running 1000 below equity. But I am happy with my play besides maybe 2-3 days where I was kind of spewy. But I have made 5800 this month in rakeback and bonuses and should get one more 1500 rakeback bonus before the months end. In my last 25k hands of the month I would really like to get into the green on the month which I definetly think is possible. I mean even if I break even from play I will still be up 7300 on the month so I guess I can't complain about that. My next blog will be comin to you from my new home in Fort Collins, Colorado. Hope everyone has a great week.

They keep testin me...

Well after doing well over the last 4-5 days, I got hit harrrrrd on saturday dropping 1500. But through all of the unbelievable shit that went down I didn't get mad and played well. I was actually down 2400!!!! at one point during the day but made a little comeback in my last session. I ran about 800 below EV and had about 6464356 sick coolers. So after a rough day of work I went out in downtown Houston with some of my friends for one of their birthdays and had a great time. It feels good to be able to shake off really bad days of poker and go have fun in life haha. So of course today I was ready to get back to the tables and see what I could do and in my one 3hr session I made about 600. So all of sudden I am on a 1500 upswing since my lowest point on saturday...god dam i swing too much. But what can i do...I guess just continue to grrriiind....

The GREEN is in sight!

Blog by : WinItAll3

I am on a four day winning streak since monday when i ran 1900 below equity and dropped a G. I was down 3300 at one point this month and now i am down just 700...slowly grinding it back. I am proud of myself for keeping my cool and playing well over the past week. It's kind of weird how I swing so much seeing that I play about an 18/15/3. I mean last month in my first 55k hands i ran at 2.75bb and made 6k then my last 45k hands i lost 1k. And obviously this month started out disastrously but it looks to be turning around...buttt i dont want to get my hopes up.

Aside from poker, I went to see a financial advisor today so i could start to invest some of this money sitting in my checking account. So I ended up maxing out a Roth IRA with 5k and then put 10k in a brokerage account which consists of mutual funds, small cap companies, and a few individual stocks. I also might put some money in a CD or money market account. And he gave me a good idea of where the rest of my money should be, I learned a lot. I am kind of excited about this, I'll probably be checking the paper or online from time to time to see how my stocks are doing. Also, a few years ago i started reading some books on finance and investing and really enjoyed them but havent been reading much over the last year so i would like to get back into the habit of reading a book every month or two. So I guess this can be another motivator to make me play well so I can invest more haha. Hope everyone is doing well.

So I just realized I have my hands where it doesn't show my opponents cards and I forget how to change it but those last three hands my opponents had AA,22, and 10h10s.

Swingin...

Blog by : WinItAll3

Sunday and Monday I ran 1900!!!! below equity. Monday I went through probably one of the worst 30 minute stretches of my career where I got sucked out on once for 100, twice for 200, and once for 300 and two times I was a 90% or better favorite. It was weird though cause I was starting to get mad and then I get it all in preflop against this huge donk with KK vs A2s for 200 and he binks an A on the river but for some reason I just started laughing. I guess I had got to the point where it was just funny and I wasn't even mad anymore. And I did play well that entire session which felt great. Then to start out today I was quickly down 500 and was about to break but I looked over some of my notes from Jared's videos, took a few deep breaths, and refocused. I then went on a pretttty nice heater and ended the day up 1200. I think I played very well with only a few spews here and there. So I have put in 10 hours the last two days and plan on putting in about 5 a day until the 19th when I start moving to Fort Collins and will probably take about 5 days off. I have been watchin one of Jared's videos each day and they seem to be helping me out so I am going to continue to do that. Here are a few fun and interesting hands from the last few days...

Rough week

Blog by : WinItAll3
0

So this past week was pretty damn terrible. Up until today I was on a five day losing streak including one of my worst days ever(-1900). After not spewing at all on the first three days of the month, I have followed that up by not playing very well the last week. I guess I started spewing after just getting cooler after cooler and not being able to get any sort of momentum going. Sooooo frustrating!!! My goal of 2bb/100 is now very unlikely but thats ok I just want to continue to try and play my best. I renewed my Stoxpoker membership today so I can watch Jared Tendler's videos on controlling your emotions. I watched one today before I played and ended up not spewing so maybe if I continue to watch them it will help me control my emotions and stay focused. He has 16 videos and I plan on watching all of them in the next 2-3 weeks. So this month definetly has not started out how I imagined it would butttt I am not going to give up. I'm just going to take it 1 session at a time. Just play my best each session. Today I played well so hopefully tomorrow I can make it two good days in a row!

No spew please...

Blog by : WinItAll3

Yesterday and my session earlier today I have been quite tilty/spewy and have been letting my emotions get the best of me. I need to stop whining like a little bitch about running bad and just play each hand as best as I possibly can. I just worked out and am about to play a 2-3 hr session trying my verrrrrry hardest to play solid throughout. Here goes...
