Didnt really feel like playing lately. Yesterday played 269 hands and am down 12.15 which is nothing. i wasnt hitting any flops or getting any respect with cbets. I havent felt like playing lately but this bonus is really important to my BR. We will see how it all goes down today. I hope to play atleast 600 hands.

stepping down.

Blog by : VingTsun

Boy this 50NL this is tough. I guess i only stab for about 3-5 BIs which isnt much. But this time I had it in my hands. UP 3Bis was great. But i played in not the right mind set and got tilted. Even started playing less aggressive. So time to step down to the level i know and love 25NL. Shouldnt be too long before i grind it back. At least i hope not. That bonus i might not be able to unlock the whole thing. I hope i can get atleast 125 out of it. Would be annoying not to. Yesterday down another BI at 50NL. My stupid rakeaid calander isnt refreshing for the last 20 days. Its really annoying i should get a pay out.

wow did i just screw myself.

Blog by : VingTsun

So yesterday morning i was doing awesome up 150 bucks at 50NL and feeling great but i had a big exam the next day. So I had been studying for about 6 hours and was going to play as a break from studying. But i lost all my profit and more to down 36.50. I really really screwed myself not playing in proper condition being mentally fried and tired is not a good time to play. I was havinga really tough time at the tables really maniac stats guys at every table abotu 65 vpip guys and some 35 vpip guys just playing crazy at me. I felt i was better than them but that they were out playing me a bit. I kept playing saying i just need a hand to take em down. ONce i realized how much i had lost and that wow this really isnt working i stopped. Today i am starting fresh and if i lose 2 more BI's i am done with the stab at 50NL. I will play today and see what comes up. I reviewed my hands was was absolutely disgusted at the hands that i lost the most money with. I will definately try to play my A game all the time and if i am tired or drunk or high or whatnot do not play at all. even for fun. that just messes your BR up.

Stabbing 50NL again

Blog by : VingTsun
0

Well its my 3rd stab at 50NL with this bank roll and its getting annoying. I moved up because of the bonus i am trying to unlock it takes abotu 1300 hands at 25nl per payout. But at 50Nl about 800 which is much easier to do in a day. I only have 14 days to unlock 150. A lot of poker coming up. I am down about a BI from 50NL yesterday at first i made some dumb plays and wasnt used to the more aggressive games. Its harder to find 30VPIP and 10PFR games. Also the cbet isnt as affective as at 25nl also 3betting pfr and on the flop is more common. I made a video of myself playing at this level my 1st day. my BR is down 1 BI at 50NL and Up 16.40 from 25NL.

What the HELL was i thinking?? i know i just sat down at higher stakes and i know shits going to be different. But what is going through my head??

Unlocking is hard

Blog by : VingTsun

I only unlocked 6 bonus bucks yesterday over 1056 hands. However i had a great day. Towards the end though I found myself sitting with 4 BIs and then bled a bit. I felt i was on a rush or something. I dont know my play just felt solid. Wasn't getting great cards. Only sucked out 1 time. But then the donks just kept sucking up my Cbets. So i would stop but then when i wanted to bet on the flop for value they would fold so i would do some c bets but then i decided hey its bed time. Should stop still 3BIs is ok for the day. I felt a bit tired and bleeding so i thought it was best to stop. Had really good days lately. I been using pokerEV and compare the 2 graphs the amount of pots i am winning without showdown is increased. But i am still making money at showdown. I think i have found a balance in my game or something after finding this tool.

BR:+72.50

here is my pokerEV graph of this month

Here is July the last month i played alot Although it is a losing month you can see where the after losing a bit i kept being down and not sticking to the red/blue lines as much. However in OCT is stil lost a bit recovered and am sticking to the red/blue fairly well. Here I lost a bit and maybe tilted. I remember being high and or drunk while playing in this month as well. However the fact is that i wasnt playing optimally. Giving up to many pots without showdown. Maybe i can find a better example. In my entire database graph before playing this way my line is way under the 2 blue red lines. But now i am huging pretty close or on the line which is good for me. That was my goal

bonuses are good.

Blog by : VingTsun

well today FTP offered me 150 bonus bucks which is awesome. Although i see it being very difficult to unlock. I only 4 table. Today has been break even again. I am just trying to get that bonus out. It will really help my BR and help me hit my BR requirements for 50NL. I have posted up my PT stats so people can look at them. Maybe tell me why i do decent at 25NL but everytime i grind the BIs in for 50NL i get smashed? well i am looking for a coach and hopefully found a good one that has a affordable price. I am very excited to get my first session with him. This database has been going for a bout a year now. I havent played much at all for the year but decent profits at 25NL. I really need to get serious about this. I had a lot of things to do but now my work schedual is more accomidating to a few hours of poker daily and a lot more of the weekend. No intresting hands really today but i havent reviewed my session yet. I will do and if i find some i will post it.

BR:+2.00 over 1207 sofar i may play more then i will up date

Improvement of my game?

Blog by : VingTsun
0

I have been using PokerEV to look at each session after using it to look at my whole database. I think i have found a way to make it help me find leaks and today it looks like i played pretty much better than before. I was losing a lot of small pots especially after missed C-betting and getting called. So i became more aggerssive on the turn and cbeted less on more of the dangerous boards which seemed to help. however the middle pots 30BB-50BB i seem to still struggle with as giving them much more aggression can easily make the pot bloated and put me in a spot where i might become more pot commited than i would like to be. Had a few bad beats today but its all in the game. i am getting much better at handling them. I just take deep breath and put it through the replayer in PT just to look at the win percent to make sure 100% that it was a bad beat and i got my money in good. As long as my % is higher than his i have no worries. I just think to myself do that 100 times and we will see who is richer. Nothing really in the form of intresting hands today. at the end of my session my tables were breaking down and getting VPIP to low but i kept playing anyway and ended up bleeding about a BI and lost to a bad beat my AA got cracked by JT. But over all today still doing good. I hope i can put in atleast 800 hands aday. 1k seems like a lot but i can only 4 table. I only have a laptop and i have overlap as it is to play 4 tables so i think i am quite limited.

Yesterday was down about 2 BI but then ground back up to -19.20 over 834 hands. I definately want to put in atleast 15k hands a month now as i have been slacking. Here are the 2 most intresting hands of the day.

Villian is 26/9 66% attempt to steal but doesnt fold to blind steals that offten fold 100 SB but 0 BB over 40 hands . Not exactly super accurate. What do you put him on? Did i misplay this?

3 tabling goodness

Blog by : VingTsun
0

I didnt play for that long yesterday and was 3 tabling. Put in only 284 hands but i am up 45.30 w00t. The biggest losing hand i had i only lost 7 bucks with and was QQ and on the flop and A hits with a flush draw and i fire but get a lot of aggro on the turn and decide to dump it. I have noticed something lately that in the last few days i havent been all in for stack vs stack of 100BB or more. which is a bit odd maybe i am getting away from bad situations a lot better or just not seeing good stacking oppertunities.

Another thing i discovered yesterday was PokerEV. I suggest everyone try their hand at it its very complicated. But even just a basic understanding will give you a better insight into your game. Once i figure out some good filters to put on to get a general look at my game then try to find out common situational filters to find leaks. It does seem to provide a lot of different options. Highly recommonded but very difficult to use and 100% free.

BR: +45.30

My biggest winning hand is here. I always thing these types of hands are the best where the river brings a card that improves the opponents hand and makes them want to be more aggressive. However with a 1 cards straight on board what is he thinking? Well that thought pattern gave me some decent money.

low variance profiting day.

Blog by : VingTsun

Today has been good. I was up 100 at one point today but then i was running hot for a while and it kinda trickled off. Also today i played for a lot longer because i was doing so well. I think thats why i ended up where i did today i didnt really want to play anymore but i sat down for 1 more session anyway which just ended up losing a bit. I didnt have a single hand where i got stacked nor had a hand where i stacked a big stack all day. Which is to day wierd. I did bust a lot of short to mid stacks but theres a lot of them floating around. My 2 biggest losing hands are from short stacks that i was in ahead against on the flop and get them all in or they have 8 bucks and i have AQs and they just happen to get AK and we go down completely dominated but against the range i figure to be good.

BR: +66.95 awesome although not as good as +100 which would have been better

Here i missed some value although i do think that most players will go all in for 5 bucks or less ontop anyway and it makes my bet look a little less intimidating like 19.99 isnt exactly 20.00. I would like feed back on this tactic. I mean some people will call down but if it leaves them with nothing then they wont. Not sure about it but it seems to work most of the time. Especially if they have a little poker knowledge and they know they are pot commited and they have to put it in anyway.
