Heading to Chicago

I'm leaving in about 30 minutes to go to Chicago for the weekend. My girlfriend's best friend is at a Naval Academy there so we're goign to see her tomorrow and then Sunday we're gonna go chill in the city somewhere. It should be a nice break, and it feels good to not play poker for 4 days straight.

Starting a blog on a bad note

I've been in this funk that I can't get out of. It started at the end of August where I lost 2k in around 2000 hands (12 buyins total). I won that back in around 7000 hands, but have lost another 1k since then (mixture of 100 and 50, so I assume around 15 buyins).

During the middle of this I deposited on Prima and ran $200 into $1100, and cashed that out. On PS and FTP I'm down around 2300 total so it'd be around 20 buyins. A decent amount of this has been coolers, but recently it's been more bad calls than anything. I've rationalized that it's just another cooler and who cares if I lose another buyin.

Today I played a good session and lost 4 buyins (in 500 hands) to a bunch of hands I couldn't fold, but once I started tilting I ended up quitting my session. I am gonna stay at nl50 no matter how much it hurts until the end of October because it's pretty much stress-free when I am running not horrible.

I have a vacation to Chicago this weekend, and a vacation to Turning Stone the weekend after, so hopefully things turn around.

I'll try to keep this updated.
