Not much to say. Ordered Elements of Poker from www.tommyangelo.com and am getting an inscription put on it by the author which is kinda cool. Put in around 550 hands of 10nl and ran decent booking bout a buyin a little more.

I got this little digital voice recorder thing for my birthday:

http://www.officemax.com/omax/catalog/sku.jsp?skuId=21225844&searchString=olympus+vn-4100pc">

Its pretty fat, I use it to talk about shit when I'm driving or at work. Just reminders to think about, you know stuff like when you raise with 10/8 and get reraised, fold, etc etc etc. I think its +EV to the game. Try it :)

Well enough bs for the day I'll put up my PT and EV for the day and let ya go read a more interesting blog.

Yipieiaaa Cowpatty

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne

Yesterday started off much the same as Saturday with the catching no cards, no big hands getting paid etc etc etc... I had played a 2.2 sat tourney to the hundred k on Tuesday so I quit playin cash round 1 to try and get mind right for the tourney. At 2 I decided to play one more hour and wound up turning the $-15 into $2 win and quit at 3, tourney at 3.30. So I was somewhat pleased somewhat upset.

Man, I've noticed lately I've a hard time letting go overpairs on the flop. I've gotten stacked with qq on sat to kk and yesterday I got stacked with TT on the flop all low to KK again. I'm like WTF and both hands pretty much played out the same. I don't understand why I can't get it through my head that when I get RR AI with an overpair its not that I have the nutz. Oh well, perhaps I'll be able to figure this out in the coming days, months, years.

As for the tourney, I'm happy bout that too, I cashed like 700 outta 20k entrants for a $60 win. So that was 57.8 profit for the roll, can't complain. I really wanna start limiting my tourney play to a couple a week. Just too much time invested in them. I do wish to keep playing them to keep my skills in that area sharp and for the chance at the score but not so much. Perhaps a Rebuy and the hundred grand a week. We'll see...

Here is the out hand in the hundred grand...

Here is the TT v KK hand...

Here I actually hold up..

This is beautiful, I hate these donkeys that play any two just because they're s00ted...

Here is the PT Stats for the Day

And the EV for the day

New Month, New Fish

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne

Grrr, well I knew it wasn't going to last forever. But I was hoping it would :) Well yesterday I put in a solid 1.2k hands but just couldn't seem to get anything going. My aces weren't getting paid off, which really sucked. I ran qq into kk getting ai on a jack high flop for stacks and didn't get there. I did win a few hands for stacks but smaller stacks. So all in all I ended down almost a buy in.

Actually I'm kind of pleased that its not worse then that. Here is some of the action from yesterday and the pt stats for the day. Peace out! Good luck at the tables hope you fare better then I did yesterday!

Still diggin. Feb Summary, Mar Goals

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne

Yo folks, whaddup! First off let me start by saying, I just had this whole blog written out with everything laid out perfect down to the last line where I was gunna say well guys good luck at the tables and I hit the muther ef'n gd backspace key WTF OMG jesus frickin keeerist! Now I know what you guys are talkin bout. Problem is, it was my end of month summary blog so I can't just say so fuck it I'll just post a couple hands and I'm out. So here goes, how did February go and where do we want to go in March!

So Feb began with me going to Buffalo, Ny for a training thing for work. I was there two weeks playin pretty much each night. Its the first time since I started playing in 12/05 that I've truly committed myself to just grinding it out. I sat down at .01/.02 and started going at it. I must say that I was extremely inspired by this kid, Treblehook's Blog. I love the way he lets us into his life. I'm saddened that he's not been posting, hope he's doin aight in poker and not facing the variance demons. Anyways things were going well in the hotel, until.

The first weekend I was at the hotel I was really excited bout hittin the tables, I had been doing great and just wanted to roll, then my aces got cracked like jesus god knows how many times. I managed to struggle thru it but it put me in a bad state then about 2 days before I left I had a few bad ace beats again and I lost it, I blew like 4 buy ins at .01/.02 then decided I should goto .05/.1 to recover. You can see it on my EV graphs clear as day, I wiped out 85% of everything I had won to that point in the month. Sucked. I truly hope I've learned from that and don't let it happen again.

The end of the month finished grand, I did move up to .05/.1 simply because I deposited another couple hundred bucks to pad the roll. And, I've been killin it. The last night of feb with stars doing the double fpp thing rocked, fish were everywhere spewing, just trying to hand me their money. Shit held up and I even sucked out a time or two. Heres last nights PT.

The worst loser hand of the month is here.

The biggest weiner hand of the month is here.

The biggest come from behind suckout weiner is here.

This month for study, I've watched shit every n/l vid released, I've watched every Schnett mtt vid released and attemped to become active in the microstakes forum. Kinda slack there, but hopefully I'll keep it up.

I read this book by Scott Fischman. Pretty damn good read IMO, gives you perspective from someone who got there and has been there.

I plan on reading this book next month by Tommy Angelo.

As for next month. Well I hate to put undue pressure on meself but I think there are a few things that I certainly feel are dooable and they are:

  • Minimum 15000 Hands
  • +10 buyins
  • Maintain poker study
  • Get up and walk away from tilt at least 2 times at FIRST sign

So that about it. Now for the Juicy stats and graphs ;)

PT Summary and Position Stats

Poker EV Game Analysis and All-In Graphs

Well, whew, finally made it thru it all again lol. GD the backspace button damn u evil laptop! Hope all yer poker dreams come true, wish me luck!

Nicky Dime Fevah

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne

.05/.10

I gots da Fevahhh! Yeah yeah yeah yeah.. FEVAHHH!!! Whoa whoa whoa whoa... Yeah baby YEAH!

Ok so ya know, like whatever and stuff yah. Umm.. K! Well like so I was playin the nickel dime tables and like, well, you know, I was murderin peoples... Was runnin hawt, once again my shit was holding up, once again people were calling with trash and just kept calling! Thats the good.

There is, however, a bad side. After the 600 hands I put in, I did my usual poker tracker thing to try and appease the poker gods and realized something. The hands I lost were shit! 2 of them I had TPTK or good kicker and just kept firing and calling river bets, geez wtf! I guess I called due to the hotness I had been experiencing, but gd, I know for a fact I coulda earned at least 10 more bucks to go along with the 21 or so I walked with. On the positive side... I did a review and I did see it. Granted, I'm disappointed in my play in those hands, hands that were my mistakes were my biggest losers of the day. Overshadowed by a magnificent run of holding up but the sewers were rotten last night. So here are some hands...

This one is the worst one. I wasn't going to show this hand because I played it so rotten, but I don't want to let myself ever forget it either... So, Enjoy:

www.pokerhand.org/

Then some of the winners... This first hand was later on in the session and I must tell you that both of these guys were extreme maniacs one Imehet was 87/25 and Liox was 40/0 both over about 25 hands. I felt kinda like I was making a mistake here, but I'm a penny pro and got there =P.

www.pokerhand.org/

So this next hand the guy was like 41/21, but let me tell ya, I think he was first in the chasing class. Funny thing, I messed up on river bet not pushing all the way in, so he obliged and raised me the extra quarter, lol, wtf?

www.pokerhand.org/

I guess thats enough hand histories. Today for work, I'm goin to hillsboro NH, help out another tech around here, he told me to dress warm, gd it. Brrrrr. Ef'n New Hampshire.. Gotta go help out the brother though!

PT stats and poker ev for the day to follow!

Big Copper!

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne

.05/.10

Yeah boyeeeee, thats me, just call me Big Copper, for all them pennies I keep killin. Yeah! WOohoo!!! So Yesterday went well on the nick/dime tables. Things were holding up, people were calling with trash. A great day. Ya know I've started really gettin into reading all the blogs here on CR, I'm sure most of you guys read the same way, but for those of you that don't click on the recently updated link and you'll see the new updates. Its amazing the community of ballers that are here. LOL, even me, Big Coppah... Thats right, Big Coppah in dah house!

Ok so I wanted to post a couple hands today, I had three big pots, 2 were for stacks one was for half a stack. One of the stack ones was a standard me having QQ aipf against AJ lol. It was kinda early on in the session but the guy had been acting a maniac, I stacked him, he left. Here is the second big hand... I really went into the tank on the turn when this guy committed a huge raise. I just didn't believe his line, nor did I believe he had a higher PP. I even said in chat JJ about 10 sec before I decided what to do. I say I had JJ then I repopped him AI and he calls. Amazing...

On this next hand, I mentally thought about how I need to try to make more aggro on the turn and use the higher turn card as a scare card, he insta called. On the river I felt he was probably on a draw but I was too weak to try get a valuebet in.. If I had thrown in a valuebet there, would that have been a "thin" value bet? I'm not sure I understand the concept of "thin" value bets.

Warming Up

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne
0

So yesterday went fairly ok. I pounded the tables in the first 75 hands and then ran like dirt losing 75% of what I made at first. Really just giving my money away to a calling station on one table calling him down. Pushing AK for 2 streets only for him to hit his q otr. Betting 3 streets with 99 only for him to hit his j4 otr. Then I started calling him down. I shoulda a. quite when I was ahead which I do not want to do, b. control myself, c. close table start another.

Anyways heres my PT for the day. Only 284 hands as I was steaming and just never came back last night.

Really aggravating as I was up 18 bucks, early on, and up 8 bucks before running into Mr. Donkalicious... Perhaps it was actually the other way around.

And here is my Poker EV for the month so far. You'll notice I had a terrible day which really upset things but I think I've battled through it... Somewhat anyway, and I am looking forward to next month playing .05/.10. Still trying to come up with a decent challenge...

Peace out!

New Month Coming

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne

So, the end of the month is near and the begining of a new one is right at hand.

I have put in a lot of hands this month for someone like me and am considering buckling down and coming up with a reachable goal for the next month. I have deposited a couple hundred bucks into epassporte and going to plug that into my modest bankroll and get out of the penny games a bit early and move to nickle dimes next month. I know its fuggin stupid, I've spent more money on CR this past year and a few months then I have put into the bankroll lol. I'm just such a fuckin cheap bastard!

Well anyways.. I need to jet for work, perhaps I'll post some more feelins and shit bout where I want to go next month later....

Lets Get This Ball Rolling

Blog by : T0mmy2T0ne

Yes, I know, I know. How many times have I told myself I was going to stick to something on here and not. Too many.

Well, Sunday I am heading to Tonawanda, NY for 2 weeks of training for the JOB and will have plenty of spare time in the evenings I'm hoping to put some concentrated efforts on my game. Tonight I did quite well for 540 hands at the micro stakes. I'm going to attempt to stick to a bankroll, not so sure how much luck I will have but thats the plan. Anyways. Gunna just start shooving my pt/ev stats up here in hopes that they will continue on this trend.

Take care,

T2T
