February Results and Rough Stretch

0

Finished up February really poorly. By the 24th, I was up nearly $2500 and by the end of the month I was below $1500. For the limited amount of hours (75) I played, I can't complain too much. Also, I cleared a $650 bonus at the beginning of the month, so overall it was about a $2000 month.

Certainly a few things I still need to work on. Despite focusing hard on my non-showdown winnings I was still negative about $1800. It's an improvement, but not much of one. Imagine, if I could just turn half my non-showdown winnings into profit, it would be a major boost to my win rate. If anyone at the 100nl, moving to 200nl stage in their poker career wants to work on this, feel free to drop me a pm.

Since my downswing, my bankroll dropped to under 5k. I made a plan to play 50nl until I reached 5k again. At this point, I'm only $65.18 away. Hopefully that doesn't take long to earn. When my bankroll reaches 6k, I will make the jump to 200nl. In the mean time, I've implemented a few guidelines to prevent such a massive drop from happening again. If I lose 5 buyins, this includes multiple sessions, I will move down a limit and play there until I have earned 10 buyins. I think this is a very reasonable guideline that will certainly lessen some of the variance involved with playing poker full time.

Finally, my stats and graph for the month of February. Notice the strong correlation between my redline and my winnings. Do I ever need to work on that!
