100nl: 0 - 10,000 hands, April 18 - May 7

0

So far the start at 100nl has been going well. The first couple thousand hands were pretty shaky, but since then its been going fairly well. A few thousand hands ago I started mixing in opening to 3x, instead of 4x every time and its been going well. I had my biggest day yet on the 5th booking a win of $850 over 2000 hands.

I just finished a 1000 hand session that included a swing of +4 buyings to back down to .5 buyings. I had AA beaten by AK getting it in pf and along with that I generally ran bad. However, it's no excuse for my play, even on the worst of coolers I shouldn't be losing 3.5 buyins over 500 hands. The little drop on my graph is pretty ugly too.

My play was good, but my game flow wasn't. What I mean by that is, I didn't take into account how the table was playing to make my decisions as well as I should have been. Poker is a game of many variables, and when you don't include one into the equation, all your answers are wrong no matter how correct the rest of your work is. It's a simple concept, but a hard one to master.

Here's the stats so far at 100nl

I am pretty happy with my stats, my goal was to have a 18.5/15ish style and so far I have been pretty close. My attempt to steal is a little higher than I expected but opponents haven't shown much propensity to fight back from button steals so I'll continue to do what I am doing unless I see otherwise. My Win % when seen flop is really solid (43%), however my won $ at showdown is a little lower than I wanted. It's possible that I am calling a little too light still, so I'll look over my hands once again to see if I can make any improvements to pick up that number a little.

Lastly, my graph
