A Sad Tale: Leaving Cardrunners

0

There are so many things I have learned since joining cardrunners, and so many people I have met, but it is my time to move on as an instructor and guest pro. I will still blog and participate on the forums when I get a chance, but I will no longer make videos for cardrunners.

In the past few months I have seen many great videos from cardrunners, and my role here has been overshadowed a bit by the newer guest pro's. Also, I am no longer playing NLHE exclusively but mainly focusing on mix games and 2-7 (I know weird right). I am sad to leave, as CR helped me become who I am today.
My new home will be http://pokerzion.com/">Poker Zion, a small startup poker training site that will allow me to do what I never got to with cardrunners, build the company myself (ok I'm part of a team but whatever) from the ground up. Poker Zion has offered me the role of a lead instructor, part owner, and given me the opportunity to play a crucial role in the marketing of the company. Ever since my junior year of college I have wanted a job in marketing, but poker paid too well. Now I get to put my degree to the test. This will hopefully be one of a few moves that change my profession from Poker Player to Entrepreneur. Of course it is not without its own risks. The company is small and has to compete with all the giants like CR, DC, etc, but we will find our niche and keep on teaching the ins and outs of all forms of poker.
Thanks for the opportunity to make videos, teach people, learn, and fail miserably (only occassionally).
See ya guys at the tables.
