Goals for 09

0

So it has been a very long time since I have posted and if anyone where to ever have read my blog they must've thought that I went busto. Well actually quite the contrary happened and I have just been way to busy to post or watch many vids and I need to change that ASAP. I actually won the 50K freeroll for supernovas as I satellited in as a platinum. We chopped it 4 way and I shipped like 90% of 1st place money I think I got a little over 8K.

This left me with a little over 11K in my BR and I have since spent a ton of money. I ended up buying an Old English Bulldogge who's name is Plato. He is a fuckking bad ass. Unfortunately that is what has kept me so busy in the last couple months.

After that win I had over 50BI's for 200NL so I took my shots, and took my lumps. I ended up down about 3K for that, but have improved my game imensely. I hired a coach, who has also helped me improve my game. I have since realized that not only was I a calling station, but also a spewtard that was def -EV in 50NL HU and 100 6m. Luckyily I have made some huge changes to my game, and am still trying to tighten up some, but I now feel that I am at least +EV at 100NL 6m.

I will grind that for either 30K hands or until I double my roll whichever comes first. I have cashed out about 4K since then so my roll is just under 5K right now. If I could put together 7 winning days in a row I could take my shots at 200, but I really need to focus on improving my game before I should take any more shots.

Goals for 09

-Be able to beat 400NL
-Profit 100K playing cash games
-Keep at 3.0 GPA
-Play one live event out of America, and one in America
These are very lofty goals that I have set for myself, but while I was looking through the 2008 graph thread on 2+2 I realized that these goals are def attainable, and it's better to set my goals high than low. I want to push myself to something that would be very difficult to obtain, instead of just coasting to a goal that I know is very attainable.

Now if I fail I cannot be dissapointed, because I failure to a goal set high, is still usually better than succeeding a goal because it was set too low. I don't want to just mill around at the mid stakes in this game, I want to push myself to be the best the I can possibly be. Not because of the money, that is just the way of keeping score.

If i can be beating up on 400NL by the end of the year, i could use the next year to focus on 600-2K, and that would be dope, I would be on my way to the HSNL tables. I am going to keep my goals set high, and if by the end of the year I am only beating 200NL with 60K of profit, that is still way better than the previous goal I was going to set for myself.

So hopefully I can keep this blog updated more often and we'll see how it goes!
