well i didnt do what i wanted and maintain this blog so lets start over;

well october was a bad bad badddd month for me, the first 3 weeks were just me playing and running bad as well, i was running into monsters all day every day, kings getting cracked everytime by aces, aces losing to two pair, you get the drift.

to make a long and disastrous 3 week story short, the final week of October i started speaking to a guy named Alix who i think is from France or something and coaches online high stakes players.

i had adjusted my style for those 3 weeks, playing a more loose aggressive, sometimes loose passive game which was basically a 3 week mess.

i kept asking myself why this style was profiting for me in live play but not online, i still dont know till this day.

anyway, Alix had basically told me what everyone on CR would tell me, tighten up, play position etc...

what i started to do in the last week of October was incorporate what i had learned during those 3 weeks off CR and talking to different people and reverting back to the style which was winning for me before October, i am now playing a more tag style but focusing highly on position, im avoiding those marginal spots which cause us so much trouble and what can i tell those of you who read this, WOW.

im back to my winning form, the last 7 days have been pretty good and the way the u.s dollar is comparing to australian the extra money in the conversion is helping nicely.

i put 100 on party and won 65 fairly quick, although i kept getting disconnected so i withdrew, dont know why but i always get d/c from party.

i doubled up my 100 deposit/bankroll on stars within a day or two on 25 and 50nl (single tabling), i was deciding weather to keep the 180 on there or cash it out so in the end i cashed it out and am continuing to only play on Full Tilt, from my original 50 im upto 280 or so now although still down from last months disaster.

the whole tilting problem is alot better as i dont think ive played a session when im tilting enough for it to affect my state of play, if i feel like im running bad and not on my A game i have been loggin off and reading one of the books i have or reviewing hand histories.

although im only playing one table at a time sometimes two, i feel im doing well for the small sample size.

ive been playing a mix of 25NL upto 100NL and seem to be running worst on 25nl, im doing ok on sng's although i still struggle to win a sng on stars but then do ok on full tilt, reason?? dont know.

I did win 2 buyins off one guy who was a maniac type player on stars 25nl, he was bluff raising with total junk, maybe i played him before or he had a read on me who knows but in the end the chips came my way.

here are the 2 hands which put me up a bit that session, this guy seemed to be bullying everyone as he had was 200bb deep when i sat down and after i called his bluff he settled down a bit, unfortunetly after the 2nd hand history below he didnt rebuy and left;

im not even going to post my october graph as its something i dont want to remember, its funny how you think your playing fine and just copping bad beats because of variance and then you realise you were playing incorrectly.

ive posted up the last 7 days or so which was after talking to Alix so i feel im on track again and ready to continue with my A game, i guess theres going to be those months where you drift away from the correct way to play poker but i would have to say that if you have learnt from those mistakes then its money well lost.
