First CR Blog

So I am new to CR. This is my first blog on the site.

I have played poker for a few years and understand many concepts of the game.

I have also learned alot from PXF. I wanted to open more doors into my learning and decided after months of deliberation to break down and join.

Here's a few things going on in my life as of this moment:

Started new diet: Eating tons of fruit and healthy foods. Lifting and doing a 30 minute treadmill workout daily. I hope to shave off a few pounds in my middle section. I have a hump but I am not a camel.

Bought a house: We move into 770 in 30 some days. Life begins. (We have been living with Samantha's parents for the past 13 months to save for a house and wedding.)

Getting Married: Sept 27th 08' - This has been in the works for 2 years now and Samantha and I have planned it perfectly.A scaled down wedding to fit our personalities.

New Goals:

Break into Cash games: I have played cash in the past for fun but never learned any new concepts. I hope to really improve this aspect of my game

Poker Tracker: Learn how to use and avidly use this program to my advantage.

Make connections: Meet some players to bounce ideas and theory's off of. Most of the players I know dont know step one about poker. Its more like bingo to them. They do not respect the game. I also need to find better players for the home game.

Improve MTT: improve the later stages of my MTT game. Make a final table. Get a big cash. I know this is everyone's goal but I want to really improve my game.

Positivity: Be more positive. I have already seen so much positivity by thinking good thoughts on a daily basis. I hope to make this a mainstay of my life.

Get a new job: I need to get a job that excites me. I have always believed that I am destined to be a successful person. right now I am just getting by. I have a sweet gig. ( I can actually watch CR at work) However, I need to get into an industry where I can reach my full potential and get promotions. I want to be able to take care of a family.

As for now this is one step in the right direction. It is the "Year of the Browns". Life is amazing. We can only go up from here.
