To the reader;
Well it has begun, my perilous journey through the murky shark infested waters, and with a small burst of success. Before, when I had started to play with online, I was using the internet for more of a training tool than an actuall way to make money. My results were likened to a yo-yo with crushing runs of defeat to small, confidence boosting, streaks of victory. My first serious cash was 4th place in a $30 re-buy for just over $2600, I followed that up by, against my own advice, by taking $1000 from the $2-4 NL and $5-10 NL games respectivley. I realize that I was not meant to go beyond bankroll but I got caught up and made it out of those battles alive. I have learnt a lucky lesson as a faitfull King on the river saved me from the villians suck out on the turn. I could have sunk my ship before leaving port. I took a few small hits on the way to my first blog and am now back on track to achieve my first goal, to be a RESPONSIBLE bankroll manager. I sat down yesterday with a new vision and vigor. I could feel the anxiety push through my hardened arteries. I played my proper level and entered a $24 qualifier for the $750k, a $24 Sunday night H.O.R.S.E qualifier, a $8 NL tourny and the Midnight Madness. I bubbled the $750k after crushing through 70 people only to lose to a two outer on the bubble. My H.O.R.S.E tourny faired a little worse. But then light, I cracked the money bubble in the $8, which is not monumental but still a boost. The second the bubble burst I lit up, with 9 of the 98 left I was short stack on about 12 bb's. I sent bomb after bomb and with 6 left and our chip leader at 96,000 and second at 32,000 my 9,000 looked in trouble. With timing and fearlessness I wanted this win. Little by little I tore away and before I knew it I was heads-up against the original leader and I had the chip lead by 30,000. The HU lasted about a dozen hands. I pick J9s on the button and open pot raise. The flop brings 8-4-J with two diamonds. The villian checks and I bet pot, I have been showing a lot of aggresion and therefor have been paid by leading out, the villian tanks and repops the pot. I tank for a bit. I know he likes to trap and get value, I can erase any real strength from his hand as his pot rr is far too big. I decide to repop tapis. (all-in). The cards turn and I'm right A-5 of diamonds, he's pulled the nut flush draw, oh oh. The Ace on the turn makes my heart exit my rear end. I still have 22,000 left and I've done it before I'll do it again. The off Jack smashes the river, I let a shriek of delight, which garnered some odd looks from my fiance, and reveled in my victory. Prize pool $235. Look out world here I come. I went on the cash in the $5 PLO tourny with 256 entries I finished 15th. Well there it is so far. I'll be back, lol.
