Yesterday I had a go on a trial version of Poker Acadamy's online poker bot training system. The idea is that you play poker against their (probably the world's most advanced) poker AI - poki. I opened a table with 9 random bots and started playing. It was basically a cash game but the bots never re-buy so after about 300 hands you end up with only 3-4 players left. Usually yourself and 2 luckbox bots since the AI seem to play too loose and can be beaten simply by waiting for monsters. They don't seem to re-adjust to my playing style.
What I liked about playing these bots was the user experience. I thought 'wow this is how Poker should be!' It was non-stop action, since every time I folded I could just hit 'fast forward' and get into the next hand within 2 seconds! There's no 'down' time. As soon as you fold, just skip to the next hand. Then if it turns out to be a big one, rewind the action and watch a live replay. I wish online poker could be like that.
