So I created a website, tell me what you think! EDIT: discovered former student trolling my comments

Ok so over the past few days I have really grinded to build a website for myself as a PGA professional. As I stated in my last blog post we are getting a new piece of technology that is going to help us fit people for golf clubs much more efficiently. I wanted to have a website up and running before we got the TrackMan so that when I do promotional stuff for it, I can direct people to my website for more information and to possibly sign up for a fitting. The online sign up isn't up and running yet but the website is. If you guys don't mind, check it out at www.nelsonadcock.com and let me know what you think and any feedback you might have.

cbk1013 is the OP of the thread, but Foticcine comments later on from a 1st person perspective/referencing reads so it would appear they are 1 in the same.

Not sure why he is trolling me. He got coaching from me when i was offering 4 lessons for $300 early in 2011. He did well and improved during our time together, actually having his best month ever during my coaching. I even bragged about him in my blog ( http://www.cardrunners.com/blog/NxtWrldChamp/house-heater-student-video ) So finding out who was trolling my comments hard is pretty amusing.

The bevel font doesn\'t fit and it\'s edges look jagged.
The green background is a matter of taste I guess.
Otherwise nice and clean layout and I think it looks good. Maybe crank up the color-vibrance a little bit in the collage.
A higher-res PGA emblem would be nice too.

FL- I assume the bevel font is the logo you are talking about? Yea that is definitely one of the weaker parts of the site, I did it myself and I have no graphic design background. Probably look into getting it professionally done in the future. And the PGA logo was the only one the PGA distributes to member, i will look for a better one.

Foticcine- What don't you like about it? Anything specific would be great. Although I have to disagree with you, if the average golfer got custom fitted golf clubs and went through our process, they would lower their score. 100% gaurantee that.

The pic is tilting and I disagree about the club fitting lowering scores, spend time chipping and putting over a club fitting all day everyday. for the average golfer off the rack is just fine.

What pic are you talking about? Also I never said getting your clubs fit would lower your scores more than spending time on your short game. Obviously I would choose short game practice over a fitting, but my point is playing with the proper clubs for you >>>>>>>>>>> playing with clubs off the rack and its not even close.

With drivers, optimizing the specs can add a lot of distance and less dispersion in your shots. Correctly fit irons with the ideal head/shaft type is also very important and the lie angle is incredibly critical. If you have clubs that are too upright(the heel will dig and you will hit it left all of the time) or too flat(the toe will dig and you will hit it right all of the time) for you, you are at a huge disadvantage.

Mr. V- yes that is going to be changed in the near future.

Foticcine- not going to argue anymore with you about custom fit clubs. You're just wrong. MJ is 6' 6", and almost assuredly needs clubs that are longer than std. With regular length clubs his posture will be terrible leading to swing problems that will increase his scores. He will also need more upright clubs due to his height, otherwise he will hit a lot of shots to the right.

Wrong-dead wrong on the clubs, Jordan would be fine with standard,hell might even shoot better. But whatever it doesn\'t make that big a difference. I know this is your bread and butter but club fitting and new clubs every year is so overated as well as golf instruction. It is all snake oil. Buy clubs off the rack play a ton and practice is the only way to get better. Stop robbing people and just point to the range or the golf course. P.S. I changed my mind about the picture it is now my screen saver.

Does Jordan hit a ton of shots to the right with his wedges(shortest clubs in the bag)?? Everyone hits it to the right all golfers have a built in slice until they practice and play a ton and even then it is always there to haunt us.

Ha ok. It\'s clear you don\'t understand. No Jordan does not hit it to the right with his wedges, the direction of the shot has nothing to do with the length of club. I was referencing the \"lie angle\"(if you even know what that is) when talking about direction. Someone with clubs that have too flat of a lie angle will experience the toe of the club digging into the ground during impact. This in turn leaves the club face open producing the right shots. I have no idea what your problem is... please explain to me how Jordan would be better off with clubs off the rack. How does one benefit from clubs being too short for them?

my whole point is custom fit clubs > clubs off the rack for everyone. Are you really arguing that clubs custom fit for your swing/game make you worse?

Custom will not make you worse, but I think it is totally not needed for 99% of the golf population and you know I am right. Maybe fitting someone for a driver shaft with tour swing speeds, but then again that would fall under the 99% since not many people have tour club head speed. My whole point is that the golfing business is filled with snake oil and overkill just for the sake of making a buck.

good advice foticcine...if you go to the range practice a ton and don't improve what should you do then? Just keep doing the same thing ingraining the same swing mechanics and they will magically change to the correct way? That's a pretty interesting mentality. Is the best way to improve your poker game to just play a shit load of hands and you'll just improve?

Amind- the best and only way to get good at poker is to play a shit load of hands and develop your own game and learn to think for yourself. Golf is pretty much the same way, practice trial and error, who was Lee trevino\'s coach? who taught jimmy hendrix? who\'s tiger coach? They all had a shit load of talent and practiced their ass off. people have limits and not everyone will be a superstar. P.S. I don\'t give a rat\'s ass go ahead and pay these poker and golf coaches a shit ton to develop into an average or worse player than you were before and never get to reach your true potential because you can\'t think for yourself.
