First session to post and a nice profit

0

I just put in a nice session of an hour. I said I wanted to play longer per day but being so busy with school. It's very nice I still could put in some hands today. I opened 6 tables, played pretty well and made $304.30.

As you can see I opened more hands. Getting my VPIP, Att. to Steal and PF raise a little up. There weren't so many though decisions. There where two hands against the same villain where I played a big pot and I had to think about what to do. In the one hand my read was perfect in the other I should have checked the turn.

Here is the hand I saw him overplay early in the session.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (5 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.comFlopTurnRiver.com (Format: Plain Text)

UTG ($156.90)
MP ($110)
Button ($283.10)
Hero ($105.50)
BB ($130.85)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Ad, 7s.
1 fold, MP raises to $3.5, Button calls $3.50, 1 fold, BB raises to $19, MP folds, Button raises to $286.6 (All-In), BB calls $112.85 (All-In).

He clearly thinks BB is making a squeeze play here, why else would he just call and then come over the top with a good but not very strong holding like AJo. Sqeeuze plays don't happen so often on NL100 it's a much better option to just let go, especially AJo. If someone is really bullying you by those kind of plays I rather push with a pocket pair, maybe a suited ace but the read has to be very very strong to make this play.

Flop: ($267.70) 6d, Kd, 4s (2 players, 2 all-in)

Turn: ($267.70) 4c (2 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($267.70) 7d (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $267.70

Results below:
BB has As Ah (two pair, aces and fours)
Button has Ac Jd (one pair, fours).
Outcome: Button wins $422.45.

The one I stacked him.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.comFlopTurnRiver.com (Format: Plain Text)

CO ($108.10)
Button ($98.50)
SB ($91.55)
BB ($167.80)
Hero ($106.65)
MP ($243.70)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Js, Jh.
Hero raises to $3.5, 4 folds, BB calls $2.50.

I raise JJ UTG and villian (who prob overplays hands and thinks people are making moves and bluffs) calls

Flop: ($7.50) 4s, 2h, 4d (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5.5, BB raises to $15.5, Hero raises to $35.5, BB raises to $179.8 (All-In), Hero calls $73.15 (All-In).

A perfect flop for me. Villain checks and I bet. I get checkraised by villian on a superdry flop. He can have lots of hands here and probably will bluff a lot of the time, thinking I just make a move. The hands that beat me are AA, KK, QQ, 22 and any 4 but that hands that I beat are 33, 55, 66, 77, 88, 99, TT. Against a lot of opponents I'll make a reraise to see were I'm at but against this one I raise so he will push and that's what he does.

Turn: ($224.80) 8d (2 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($224.80) Th (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $224.80

Results below:
BB has Ah 7h (one pair, fours).
Hero has Js Jh (two pair, jacks and fours).
Outcome: Hero wins $224.80. BB wins $71.15.

Here's the hand I misplayed against villian. I obviously should have checked the turn.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (4 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.comFlopTurnRiver.com (Format: Plain Text)

Hero ($151.70)
SB ($509.55)
BB ($129)
UTG ($199.30)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8s, Ts.
UTG raises to $3.5, Hero calls $3.50, 2 folds.

Since he's such an idiot and we're 150BB deep I call with T8s in position.
I think (especially being this deep) you need to make these calls now and then to stay deceptive.

Flop: ($8.50) 9h, Qh, 6s (2 players)
UTG bets $6, Hero calls $6.

I flop a dubble gutter and a backdoor flushdraw. Since he is the man that thinks I make a move when I raise I just call, hoping to hit my straight or pick up a flushdraw.

Turn: ($20.50) 9d (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $16, UTG calls $16.

I do not hit my straight but the board pairs and he checks to me. Now I really think I had to check this one behind. I he check/raises me I gotta fold and he could easily have something and I think he wouldn't even fold a gutshot just to try and screw me.

River: ($52.50) 7c (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $38, UTG calls $38.

Now I hit my straight and make a 3/4 bet. When he just called the turn and checked the river he probably doesn't have a full house or a 9 as the 7 isn't that scary. I figured he would call 3/4 pot w/ JJ or TT. Looking at the results I probably could have got a little more value but I can't be result orientated.

Final Pot: $128.50

Results below:
UTG has Qd Js (two pair, queens and nines).
Hero has 8s Ts (straight, ten high).
Outcome: Hero wins $128.50.

An example of how not to play!

SB ($101.10)
BB ($95.70)
UTG ($109.45)
MP ($100)
Hero ($215.20)
Button ($236.80)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 4d, 4c.
UTG calls $1, [color:#666666]1 fold, [color:#CC3333]Hero raises to $4.5, [color:#666666]3 folds, [color:#CC3333]UTG raises to $13, Hero calls $7.50.

A 30/13.9/5/151 limps UTG. I find 44 in the CO and raise him, this is a standard raise. Maybe we pick up the pot here or when UTG calls and we miss a CB will take it down a lot of the time since we showed aggression pre-flop. Now UTG makes a very small reraise. This is a very weak and transparent play, most of the time these players have AA or KK. I elect to call since I will probably take his stack when I hit my set.

Flop: ($26.50) Js, Td, 8s [color:#0000FF](2 players)
[color:#CC3333]UTG bets $97.45 (All-In), Hero folds.

I do not flop a set and UTG immediatly pushes his stack. OMG what a donk, I love it.
Even if he's bluffing with AK here his equity is very high so I can never call this without a set.
