First Blog!

Hello friends!

For my first blog I'm just gonna try and cover a bunch of random topics and I'll see if I introduce more structure into the blog later on.

First off, a bit of background:

I'm 21 (turning 22 on July 5), I live in North Vancouver, just graduated from UBC with a bachelor of arts majoring in psych (I was planning on becoming a clinical psychologist but changed my mind recently). I just applied to a business master's program at UBC's Sauder business school that starts in september and I'm rly hoping to get in, not quite sure what I'll do if I don't. I've played poker for about 3 years. Mostly HU for the past 2 years or so.

Random HU thoughts:

My game selection is pretty much this, I'll play anyone at 100nl and 200nl until I get 4 tables of action, at which point I will leave the table of the opponent who I consider to be the best. I'm sorry if this happens to you when you wanted a game or if I leave without warning, I'll usually try and give a heads up but if I've got a bunch of things happening at the same time then I might just quit a table w/o saying anything. As for higher stakes, I won't play tough regs at 400nl-1000nl for a variety of reasons, the biggest of which is that I'm a baby that can't handle variance at those stakes.

I have received a lot of offers to multitable me heads up for a video or just for fun and I appreciate these offers but a couple of thoughts on them:

I really prefer 4-6 tables against one opponent if I'm multitabling someone and would prefer to not play people who are unwilling to do less (for the most part). However, I will usually only set a side 4 tables of action against one reg if I have no other better action going or if it isn't a peak time in which I expect action. And the majority of my playing time will be during peak times (weekends and evenings) and therefore I'm not always going to be available for these matches. The best thing to do if you want a match is to come to one of my tables on a weekday and unless I've got better action (which is rarely the case these days) then I'll be down to play. Also, if your very boring to play then I might quit, the more aggressive the better by far. I also have a short list of ppl who are willing to 4 table 100nl and 200nl and will search these names when I'm down for such a match and see if any of them are available so feel free to pm your FTP screenname, stakes and # of tables and I'll prob add you to the list.

As for videos, please pm me on 2p2 (my sn is "wachulala") or here with any requests and I will try and keep them all in mind when deciding what to make next. My brother has been hounding me to make a leakfinder video with him (he is a beginning and breakeven micro stakes player that wants to eventually become jungleman) so if that is something you guys want, please let me know.

For anybody wondering, here is where my intro comes from:

A tiny bit of poker content, here are my last 200k hands of heads up:

Obviously running pretty hot but w/e. I'll try and post some cool hands in the future.

Hopefully this wasn't too boring for the 3 ppl who read it.

Take care,

Daniel
