Hello, My name is Robert Foster. I m a regular on a few sites at the micros. Mainly FTP and UB.
I was a cardrunners member about 2 1/2? years ago.. I had to get out of poker when i had an emergency that took my entire bankroll. I ground $50 into alittle over $1,000 on FTP. Just had started playing 50nl when i had to cash out. Mainly (And many) thanks to Brysmar and the SSNL guides. Shortly after, i was deployed to Iraq for a year and a half with the U.S. Army. Currently attending college full time (Thanks G.I. Bill)
After getting home, ive gotten back into poker. Im playing better than i ever have. Im by no means a good player. Im one of those people that always sees the glass (My game) half empty. I have ALOT to learn. I will say im very dedicated though. I spend alot of time studing and watching videos, reading books. In fact, i spend much more time studing the game than i actually do playing it. I play for the love of the game, more so than just making money. I actually want to be a good player, any money made is a bonus. I started back playing with a $50 deposit on FTP... have been grinding it since. Im really hoping to move to full time 50nl by the first of 2009.
Today was a tough day. I played around 1,000 hands and ran poorly most of the time. I ended up showing small profit on my session, which is great, considering how i ran and i was down 1 1/2 buy-ins at one point. I had a strange hand with AA that cost me one buy-in. Basicly, the table i was on was generally pretty tight, i raised AA from UTG and the whole table called. One guy flopped a opend ended straight flush draw that made it on the river. Oh well.
The past week, ive ran very well. Im up 6 or 7 buyins this week (25nl). I havent actually played all that much. Today was the first day this week ive actually played for any length of time. Ive spent so much time studing poker this week, i havent played all that much. Im kinda getting away from FTP as i dont make any rake there, but i might start playing there more for free CR memberships.
