tourneys are MEH

Blog by : La Mano

i played some tourneys today but didnt really enjoyed playing. I used to like playing some major ones on sundays but since i got back from vacation i didn't really felt like playing those. Today i went over to a friend of mine to play some togheter.

Its just so much more waiting and less creativity till you get deep that its not really a challenge and feels more as a varaiance game with you have to grind out.

This week i dealt with some things that had to be done before i can concentrate on playing more. I bought a chair, fixed my subscription to the gym, and cleaned up my room. Besides that i visited my dad and some friends and went out for drinks a couple of times. This week i'm planning on really starting to play more hands and do some damage.

Moneywise this week was kinda non interesting every session was up or down within small ranges and therefore the overall result wasn't very exciting. A little plus for the week but not more then that. Def not enough to compensate for the 5K loss on my first day playing.

I'm sure ill make up for it this week.

My routine will be waking up, eating some breakfast, do some analysys or watch a vid then play some, then go to the gym and after make dinner and play more poker. I should be able to get 15K hands in this week so hopefully i dont run like shit and win my 5K back ;-)

p.s. Still dont have my pics!! :@

Pokergrind/life started

Blog by : La Mano

And the first day was really bad..

Lost about 5K and actually i made some horrible bluffs. Blew 150BB on a river checkraise which was in retrospect kinda unbelievable. I reraised preflop 4 handed in btn vs blind. I check call flop on A high with QQ. Turn is a king it goes check check. River i check he bets 400 in the 500 pot and i decide to rep Kings and crai. Point is that in these games people expect you to be able to turn hands into bluffs... So now my range consist out of some low A/x type hands which i turn into a bluff and KK. So i guess it was a pretty easy call for 900 more for him...

really a-hole play..was way to focused on me repressenting KK, not thinkin about how the whole situation came up and what range he would percieve me to have. He called after some thought with A/j..gg

I signed up at teh gym so i hope that will bring my focus to higher levels and my dicipline to a more stable level..i might actually avoid this kind of stuff.

Besides that i didn't run well but that goes without saying if you lose 5K at 3/6 and a little 5/10

I will recover :)

Gl at the tables everyone. I prepared all things to be able to play ALOT upcoming month..so i hope it will work out and that i can improve and be able to do some damage. I just hope i can easily put this bad start behind me and not start chasing losses.

yosemite

Blog by : La Mano

sup y'all!

Last week we didn't have internet while staying in Maraposa, a small city in the hood of Yosemite park. So i will give a review of the things we did last week.
We arrived at our bed and breakfast place which was run by and old grandma type person and her husband. More about her later.
The first day we decided to put our new gear t the test and start off with a hike. We drove to Yosemite and visited the vistitorcentre. After some tips from the local rangers on what hiked to do etc we went for the theatre first. If you ever going to yosemite i recommend starting with the movie they show there. It a free 20 minute movie and it really shows what yosemite has to offer. Really nice. Well anyway we decided to start with an relatively easy hike to warm up our muscles for the upcoming challenges. The hikes are categorized in categories beginning at easy-moderate-strenuous-very strenuous-extremely strenuous. The hike we wanted to do was strenuous. So we started hiking to the top of columbia rock which was said to be a 2 hour roundtrip. We saw some nice views and after 1,5 hour of ascending the path started descending... This obviously was a bit strange and we started wondering if we maybe missed te point were we were supposed to turn around and go back. If you continued the path would lead to another destination, upper yosemite falls, which was a very strenuous hike. We decided to continue and see how far we could go. We reached the top of upper yosemite falls in little more then 3 hours and we felt pretty good about it. Normally the falls are brutal up there but since it is mid august already Yosemite fall has pretty much dried up. Upside of this is that i actually dipped my feet in the pool at the top of the falls. Normally huge amounts of water will flow here with deadly power towards the edge whereafter it will drop something like a 1000 feet. Not a place where you can go for a quick swim...but since the water flow had almost dried up this was the time to become a hero and take a quick dip in the river. On our way back we encountered a rattle snake. It was a young one which we heard later from locals. Those are actually realy dangerous since they cant control the amount of venom they put into a bite. This means they put ALL there venom in you if they bite. Which obv means your pretty dead. We didnt know that and after the snake disappeared we continued our way down.
The morning after our hike we had breakfast which was really good. Joyce (the grandma type host) was a good cook and besides that she really liked to be on top of things. We had to introduce ourselves to other guests, and at breakfast you couldn't just sit, no, she had figured out optimal table position so you were assigned a seat. The best part is yet to come. When i was making small talk with the other guest at breakfast ( one french family with kids and one italian couple) Joyce said to me at one point: " Hans, why don't you ask Clemente (french kid who was shy and hadn't said much) what he does for study!"..loooool....so i was like : So Clemente, i was just wondering, What is it that you study!.....he obv became even shyer after that.
Anyway, after breakfast we went to the southern part of Yosemite park were we made another hike, this time trough the forest. Don't get me wrong. It is still pretty steep hike. We also visited another fall in the park which was also a bit dried up.
Third day we decided to give our feet rest so we drove to the other site of the park and went to lake Mono, which is 3 times saltier then the sea. It was a really smelly place but the pictures look great. On the way back we stopped numerous times to enjoy the views or the nice cooling creeks. We drove alot and saw many places worth photographing ;-)
The fourth day we neither wanted to hike alot since we would go up mouth half dome the day after. So we drove to some ghost town outside the park. We were staying in an area where the gold rush used to flourish so the remainders of this were still intact on some places. We drove to hornitos and looked around. It was a pretty boring place where actually still a few people lived and not even worth noticing in this blogg untill we met Crazy George. We gave him this name after he had introduced himself as george W Bush. He was really weird. When we walked trough the small town we had seen him looking at us from under his cowboyhead. The guy must have been around 60 years old and when we headed back to our car to leave that shithole we heard him yell behind us: Where are you shit monkeys going! ...he stumbled towards us and we thought it was better to speak with him cause who knows you stand on his property and he shoots you down with his shotgun or whatever. So he came by and it turned into a reallt idiot conversation. We said we were from holland and later on he kept referring to our great nation under the name of Denmark...whatever dude. At one point he called us wannabees, although i didnt really get why that was. He offered us dinner ( mountain oysters which we later fund out where man's or cows testicals) if we ever came back. Really weird dude. After that we visited a railwaymuseu where an old guy gave us a tour...it was ok, but not the most fanfuckingtastic day or whatever.
The fifth day we got up at 4 am sothat we could start our climb of half dome early. It turned out to be a great hike with some challenge in it. After 5,5 hours we reached the top i think. The last part was pretty sick and people do actually die there. We manage to survive and took some nice shots on the top of the mountain. After that we had to head back down and after 10 hours we were back at our startingpoint. We were pretty exhausted and decided to regain energy by eating at BurgerKing. The last couple a days we only eat pasta for some more energy but with our goal completed it was time to return to old bad habits. When we got home we smoked our victory sigar and drank some heinekens. All in all a great day and on the side i managed to win to the 500$ propbet with Nyles-bluff. I'm gonna drink one on him i guess ;-)
We are now in san fransisco but sill bit tired from the trip and we aren't to excited about seeing the city. We also have to catch our plain in a few hours so we will probably drive around a bit and then just head to the airport. I will update some more when i am in the bahamas!

Me likes the beach :)

Blog by : La Mano

howdihow boooooys,
Checking in from LA, california, this is your blogger Hans Hans Hans (you breaking my balls here haaanzz).
Its been 4 or 5 days since my last blogpost and those days were really relaxing and nice. For a change we spent most of the time outside the big cities.
I'll begin were i ended my last blogpost, which was in the typical desert city of Beatty. In the whole village there was one place which served breakfast (the local oldschool grumpy smelly casino). After the sexi waitresses of the venetian casino we were thrown back in reality when breakfast was served by some 16 year old pregnant (or like fat in a strange way) girl. The second waitress neither accomplished to raise our appetite so we just fed ourselves and left that smelly place. The night before we experienced Redneck culture when we entered the local bar and some old cowboy types were drinking and talking. I really liked their accents and their lines. At one point mr. cowboy was bragging to a degenerate drinker at the other side of the bar who lost his two front tooth years ago that they should take it outside and fight or something. (they looked like friends though) so at some point in time cowboy slowly raises his middle finger and screams to his toothless friend " howd yuuuu laike me now booooooy" in the worst country accent ive ever heard.. We had some trouble keeping our budweiser from pouring out of our mouth when we tried to suppres our laughter.
The plan for the day was to drive trough death valley national park which is a desert like valley. If you google it you will see the long streched valleys. With that in mind we entered the road leading t the valley and when we entered the valley it was absolutely amazing. Robert and I decided to hike up the first mountain we laid our eyes on to get an even better view. Our eyes wanted as always more then the physical state of our bodies would agree with, but we managed to climb up top ( it was already 38 degrees celcius). The view was great and i whenever i get back home i will make a blogpost with a lot of photos. We drove trough the valley and stopped several times to enjoy the views. The death valley national park shows damn lot of variation for a desert. You have the valleys, the rock formations at the border of the valley, you have sand dunes and even dried up lakes. We drove the whole day and even drove trough 2 other national parks on our way to santa barbara. The last one was some forest we crossed in the dark. That sucked since we hadn't found out how to put on the big lights of the car. So we saw very little and it was a hard day for our driver Robert-U turn-Hyde. After alot of trouble we finally found a hotel at 1 in the night and we went to sleep.
the next day we first found a new motel since the last one was a desperate choice which we def paid way to much for but at 1 in the night you agree to everything. So we got our new motel with wireless internet, a pool, and only 150 feet away from the beach. We dropped our stuff and headed for the beach where we had a nice day. Nyles-bluff decided to keep his shirt on and fall asleep in the sun which resulted in him looking very much like two-face from batman. ONe side of his face was like purple and the other side was normal. Yes, he really likes the sun and the water. That night we had dinner at some seafood restaurant that was recommended by several people. The food was really nice and the waitresses were looking sharp so we had a good time. Next day we kind of did nothing special. Robert and me made arrangements for our stay at yosemite and after that we hang out at the pool and the beach before going for dinner.
The next day we drove to LA, but not before making some pit stops at beautifull places at the coast. We also stopped at the famous malibu beaches were me and robert went into the sea to experience the big surfer waves for which malibu is known. The waves were huge and it was really fun. I should have been caught on camera when i ran towards a huge wave. I was all alone, and spread my arms like in titanic when Leo takes his chick to the front of Ze Ship (i dunno why i a referring to that sissy movie, thought i was straight). The wave was like twice as big as i was and it must have been an impressive photo if it had been taken. I did do something stupid when the wave was about to collapse right on top of me. I pussied out and turned and jumped kind of "along with the wave" . It is much better though i think to just jump trough the wave cause now the wave kind of collapsed right on top of me, trowing me to the bottom and trowing me all around in all directions when i was below surface. We had a blast...
Afterwards we drove to LA which is one big traffic jam most of the day. We have been driving around today a bit to get an impression of the city but its way to big to park our car and just start walking. I don't really have a good view off what LA has to offer but Rochus (we met up for dinner at some japanese restaurant) said he wasn't really impressed with it. Tomorrow we will drop Nyles -bluff at the airport and then me and Takaa ( robert) will continue our trip together. We will drive to yosemite and make hikes the upcoming week. If i have internet i will keep you updated. Me and robert bought some hiking gear today including boots, carabines, safety gear and a backpack. I hope we will succeed in our ultimate goal of climbing mouth half dome.

Las Vegas Baby

Blog by : La Mano
0

Sup guys,

Last week weve been chilling in the City of Sin, Las Vegas! It is a really crazy place, but we definitly enjoyed ourselves there.

After meeting up with rochus (RochusN or something on stars ) we decided to go to the gunshop to fire some weapons. Robert (Takaa) decided that it was a good idea to put on his Obama-for-president-shirt today. The shopkeeper thought differently about that. Outside we already spotted a poster saying something like: Voting for Obama? Drop off guns here, it will save you time. (with a trashcan beneath it). So we entered the shop and decided what weapons we wanted to shoot. After being in the shop for a while one of the guys behind the counter told takaa that he couldn't enter the shooting area in thhat shirt. He added that he let him shoot for free though if he shot the shirt with a shotgun. Takaa Found this an rather apealing offer since he would get a free other shirt and didnt have to pay for the shotgun. The redneck was to dumb to see that this actually saved taaka money lol. I guess they really hate obama there since he is gonna put them out of business when he gets elected. I decided to buy a package with an M242, a Baretta, an automatic weapon and another handgun. Besides that i really wanted to fire some sort of sniper rifle so i added that as well. It was really cool to shoot those guns for real which you have been shooting with in videogames for years. I did pretty good with the M242 and the handgun. I kinda sucked with the other automatic weapon. we def had a blast and made some nice rambo pictures.

During the week our main occupation was hanging at the pool (while drinking huge cocktails and checking out the plastic boobies and Whales), playing poker and boozing. Most of the time we combined the last two by playing poker and getting totaly hammered at the table. I have no idea how i did overall pokerwise but the amount of hands you play wouldn't be a good estimator of your total profitability anyway due to a lack of samplesize. The games are really weak though but i must add that i only played 1-2 and 2-5 ( 200 and 500 buyin). We were staying in the monte carlo casino, which didnt really had a lot of games running. So we went over to the MGM grand and the venetian a couple of times to play there. The homegame in the monte carlo was most enjoyable by far though. The dealers knew us just like everybody else who played there more often since we were ordering wiskey cokes, malibu cokes and heinekens the whole night long. We just keep making bad jokes and keeep talking to neverybody at the table. Waitresses didn't even ask anymore what we wanted, every time they came by they had a heineken and a mix drink with them, for which we obviously tipped them generously. Our table image was totaly wrecked because of the huge amounts of alcohol we consumed at the table in combination of our reraises with all kinds of shitty hands. Funny thing is that you really see them think like: Ow yeah...these guys are good money!! but in fact although we were drunk, talking alot and drinking even more, we were still playing some decent poker allthough we played way to many shitty hands..cause thats what you start doing when drunk hehe. Some 40 year old chines lady startted hitting on Takaa at one night, and when she found out Takaa liked to talk, but didn;t really was gonna get juicy with her she tried to hook him up with her daughter haha. she kept showing him pictures of her daughter etc. I mean...what kinda mom is that, who sits at the pokertable at 3 am, showing pictures of her daughter to a guy who ALSO sits at a poker table at 3 am, and who is drinking wiskeyy coke after wiskey coke :P One of the greatest lines i heard about our mental and physical condition was: You guys where pretty marinated last night, you must have been Beef jerkey today!" I found it pretty funny.

Taxidrivers are pretty fun in vegas. Most will make a chat with you and some will even offer you all kinda services... One night we met Tudor Stankov. His Mother was half german and his father was bulgarian...aka this mothafucker was dirteh! He told us he had been working for 13 hours straight and to back up his words he decided to drive us around liek a maniac..We really had to fasten our seatbels because of his bumpy driving styl. At the end of the ride he grabbed my shoulder and looked me deep in the eyes while saying "ghave you already been to the tittybars?" he visualized the term by making boob-grabbing gestures and laughing dirty a bit. I told him no and he starts writing down his number on a card, telling me to call him if i needed a handjob or a fuck. While saying he grossly visualized his words with hand gestures..meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. Obviouly he would ride us there for free and ofcourse he wanted us to know that all others who told us this where ripp offs, but he was not! That was special lol.

A lot of people find it appealing to get married in vegas. I find it pretty dumb. We saw like bride and groom sitting behind slotmachines in the casinos....thats like....unbelievable if you see that. On the last day of our vegas trip we experienced a true Mariage strom..the date was 08-08-08 so everybody wanted to get married that day. Every weddingchappel was in use, even the old ones from back in the days in down town las vegas. pretty sick....Those chappels marry like 60 couples a day or something....that will make you feel really special....:S

All in all i found vegas for some part really disgusting with the whole gambling attitude arround there and the negative vibe of addicting you feel when you are there. But on the other hand, its a good place to party and have fun as long as you have the money and can afford to spent it! We visited a lot of casinos and most of them have some kind of theme ( like new york theme, pyramid theme, circus theme, or movie themes like mgm grand) I was most impressed by The venetian. WHAT A CASINO!...like SICK...it is so nice....you enter in some gigantic hall way with all roofpaintings and stuff and some guy playing an instrument and singing italian ballads at a fountain, then you enter there casino which is pretty neat. But then yuo go upstarirs and your lower jaw really starts scraping dirt of the floor. They rebuild Venice or something. Its insane....you walk on the seoncd floor of a casino and you have the idea you walk outside. They have bars, shops, chairs outside, they even have canals with gondols ( or whatever those boats are called) in it. And the roof is like really far up, with skyprints on it, and lights behind the prints, giving the effect of daylight! So when you look up you actually are looking at the sky! its so sick... We were walking through the streets there when we saw a guy proposing in a gondal to his girl...lol proposing on the second floor of a casino thats romance! we decided to eat luxurious this time and sat down at some italian place canaletti which looked good...it was GREAT. I ordered some fish in a saltcrust or something so they brought it to my table, opened up the salt crust, started preparing the fish right before my eyes, and serving it on my plate. absolutely great! The waitresses at the poker tables in the venetian are also of the highest quality. They runnign around in some sort of bunny suits and looking really good, i loved it. I def was impressed by this casino.

One of the last nights e and robert decided to do a famous graveyard shift....thats means like playing till dawn. So we started at 12 in the evening and played till 11 am in the morning. At one moment the game was only 3 handed with me robert and some american dude in it. We were trying to convince him to play razz with us, which he refused.. That was kinda good because i dont know how to play razz at all, but it is always good too bluff at the table so i didnt mind convincing him off playing razz ;-) At one point the restrooms where closed near the poker area. i was drunk and needed to take a leak so i jumped over the stop signs and ran into the toilet where i foudn the mexicans cleaning. I tried to bribe the mexican by offering him 5 $ if he let me pee, he refused so i raised it to 14$ ( 15 was to much obv) but he kept refusing....thats like 2 hours pay for him i think...pretty stupid he didnt take it. The pokersession ended with us seeing the early morning poker players come in, sipping coffee while we were still ordering mixdrinks at 11 am. I was really fun to have done that but i felt horrible when i woke up after 5 hours of sleep.

Yesterday me and robert decided we are gonna hike up Mount half Dome. It is said to be a very very very difficult hike which you cant complete if you are not trained ( or you have to be a marathon runner they told us) We are really considering doing it. Niels was laughing at us when we said we are gonna do it. i told him i could do it if i wanted to ( maybe im a bit to confident....i gained weights last two weeks and boozed all day long, besides, i havent been working out/playing sports for like 3 years now). I said he should put his money where his mouth is so i dared him to put money on it. After some negotiations we made a 500$ bet wheter i am gonna make it. He gave me odds which are fine, so i dont mind the bet,...It would be nice if i can win it. If we will start the hike to the top it will be a very exhausting, horrible experience i think. But when up top, having achieved the impossible, we will feel GREAT! so i hope we will try it and succeed! ( check out youtube and internet for more info on Half dome, Yosemite)

We have rented a car today and are moving to the coast now. My friend are already sleeping so i'm gonna join them!

Take care,

Hans

NY final days

Blog by : La Mano
0

Yoo, sup!

We did a lot of things last few days which i will elaborate more laster but first i want to share something with you guys:
I AM AN IDIOT
I managed AGAIN to lose a brand new expensive mobile phone. I enjoyed it for a whole 10 days. Its so stupid and sooooo frustrating, i was literally really checking every 5 minutes in NY f i still had everything (phone/wallet/ID) and then i went to the airport in Dallas Mathafucking Texas and it slipped out f my pocket. Funny thing is the phone agreement on monthly payments would start in september...so i didnt even pay off 1 $ yet on the phone. Well now i have to buy a new one which will cost me around 600$. I have had two expensive phones and two cheap ones lately, the expensive ones i lost within 2 weeks, the cheap ones lasted for over 1,5 years before i dumped them b/c they sucked. I'm just really not watching my stuff good enough :(..i have to improve that for sure. I think im gonna make a commitment that ill keep rebuying this phone till i manage to keep it for 1 year or something.
Ok, thats enough whining for 1 blog post, ill start my trip report now. Since I haven't posted in a few days this might get LONG :). I'll prolly make two posts out of it. I dunno if anyone really gonna read it but it will be fun for myself to reread it and to memorize afterwards what ive done that resulted in an empty bank account.
Day3:
We had some more days to go in NY and after buying the macbook pro the they other day we decided to go for some serious shopping at Century21. It was cool to see that store. Like everybody is really greedy and stuffing everything into their shopping cars. Like flies on a big pile of shit. I felt that i had to adjust my behaviour to USA standards, so i grabbed my own shopping cart and started loading it with massive amounts on boxers. At one point a guy was grabbing a boxershort from my car because he thought Century21 put up my shopping car with underwear as somekind of promotional stand. So after buying 200$ worth of boxers i bought 3 pairs of sunglasses and baseball cap, and the Buy of the day: pajama pants with alot of $ signs on it in different colors NICE. After dinner we went to the Yankees which was really cool. We almost had the chance to catch a ball but it just didn't get high enough. Yankees were slaughtered in the beginning but almost won in the end (losing with 7-6). It's some kind of curse; every major sports event i attend ends up in a fiasco for the team i support, gg me
Day 4:
We split up in the beginning of the day because Takaa lost his polo at Yankees stadium and i had to return something to century21. Afterwards we visited Central Park and then went to the museum of arts. We spent a whole 1.5 hours in there before it closed. For 21 year olds that is about the time you want to spent their, i really liked some things but sorry....im not impressed by a painting which just showed a green colored square...this painting was called: Green. Thats what i call creativity! We went to Soho district for dinner and grabbed a few beers. Then we went to some trendy looking bar and asked some girls where we should party. We were already pretty wasted so after hooking up with some girl who offered to put us in a cab (i couldn't memorize the streetname+clubname at once duh) we went for it. Turns out we went to so penthouse club with all this goldddddddiggers and cocky wall street guys. Nice! Great view of the skyline at night as well. We ordered a couple of drinks, but couldn't connect to the people really. Some had like a table where they sat with the golddiggers and others were really one to one dating-styl talking. We had a pretty god time though
Day 5:
Our last day in NY! We visited Empire State building which was fun and also walked trough Macys. Macys kinda sucked. and i had done so much shopping the last few days that i was kinda fed up with it. After dinner we went to the movies to see wanted which was actually a pretty weird movie. Enjoyable for sure.
Day 6:
Around 1 pm we wanted to take the bus to washington we made a reservation for, but we had been wrong about the time so we grabbed some beers and took the bus at 4 pm. The Hotelroom in Washington was realy aaaaaaawsome. Prices of fod and hotelrooms are way cheaper there anyway compared to NY. We arrived at 9 pm and grabbed some dinner and then played some poker on our hotelroom.
Some general comments on NY:
After my bad experiences at the beginning with the people in NY i actually talked to some nice ones. People i the bar were friendly and also some guys on the street were nice to us. That leads to my conclusion that McDonald employees and Subway personal are rude and the rest is ok. People in Washington were def more friendly in general.
In NY everybody tries to hustle you! It's really amazing...alot of streetvendors and people trying to sell tickets for shows etc. i will name my fave hustles of the NY period.
1: Coinmachine. By far the best hustle, located in the Empire State Building. You trow in 1$ and you get back some coins worth 1,01$ then you have to put the coins in, and rotate some wheel which prints an image on your 1$ cent, which in turn is returned to you. Congratulations, you have just converted your 1$ into 1 cent! We later found the same machine at other places with only 51 Cent buyin, so this was a pretty big idiotic hustle. Obviously Takaa was the guy who wanted to try the machine :D
2: Candyman. Then we had this story i told before about the candyman selling boxes for 5$ to help childs...yeah right.
3: Everybody is trying to stop you when you walk the street and the key is to not listen en keep moving. 1 guy managed to stop me and then i actually ended givin him a dollar for the homeless or whatever..i felt kinda stupid afterwards since i dont mind giving money but i hate it when you don't want to give in the first place but end up giving anyway. Aka i was hustled.
4: Taxidrive to the hotel. Te guy that offered us a ride wasnt a taxidriver and he charged way to much. We knew that it was going to happen but since the line for cabs was long we decided to go with it anyway.
All in All a busy warm but great city which for me kinda resembled the idea of " the american dream" You see alot of low lifes trying to work themself up by selling their own stuff at the streets etc, but in the same street you see people driving Lambourgini Galardos (or whatever its called) to show the wealth of the people that already made it.

I'm in vegas now, so i'm gonna grab some dinner and probably go to Pure of the ghostbar tonight :)

will give a tripreport from this later this week...but it will be short.....like: playing poker/laying at the pool/going to some clubs

Ciao,
Hans

New York!

Blog by : La Mano

Sup!

At this moment im sitting in my hotel room, which is literally like 20 meters from Times Square (balla). Ill give a little trip report about our first two days:

day1: Traveling to the USA
Sucks. It was my worst trip ever. We hopped on the plane in Amsterdam at 1.30 PM and flew for 8 hours while the girls in blue were feeding us and giving us drinks so that was ok. Then obviously some tropical storm broke lose above JFK airport and we had to make a stop (the didnt allow us to go out of the plane) which brought us 6 hours delay. When we finally arrived we met with Mr. Homeland Security....Jeeee It's good that no international sportsevent like the olympics or the WC of soccer is going to be in the USA anytime soon, cause im afraid the system would fail... We had to wait for like 2,5 hours in line, just b/c they needed fingerprints and photographs of everyone. When we finally got our luggage we decided to visit the MacDonalds for a late night snack. I must say: never in my life have i seen such uninterested demoralized people. They were trowing with there Burger equipment and looked like someone drugged them or something. Later i discovered that like half the NY survice industry people are like really unfriendly and not good at their jobs so that made sence.

Day2:
i decides to put 5$ bill on the pillow to persuade the cleaner to leave the ipod (street value >5$) in the suitcase (+ev). and clean the room somewhat more passionately We tracked down a starbucks to add to the american experience and decided to go for breakfast/lunch at Subway's (again...lousy service, starbucks was ok though). Afterwards we took the subway to Time Square. The Adds you see in the subway are really hilarious. "Be someone else, Be Kanye! Fast acting tablet transform anyone into Kanye West! (this text was the best:) Feel famous on the outside" ..LOOOOLL why you wanna feel famous on the outside instead of the inside. Best thing was the "Before" picture (bold white male in his 40ties) with and arrow pointing at the "After" picture reflecting the white male after he took 2 Kanye tablets =>displaying Kanye West (black male in his 20ties - for anyone who has been in a coma for the last 5 years). I also liked the fitzgerald and fitzgerald ad, which displayed some statements that should induce the mob to sue and hire their services. Comments like "Amy got 4 million because the failed college" and "Jason got 3,5 million because he threw a cup of coffee over himself", great..def LoL-tastic.

I bought some Hugo Boss underwear (I know you guys want to hear about this but im gonna keep it short) at a store at broadway because . When i told the lady at the shop that i thought i would need size Small She started laughing. I noticed her dentist never finished high school, or prolly more logical, she didnt have a dentist at all. So while that Graveyard with two eyes above it was laughing at me i thought of some nasty things to say but i didn't. Instead i smiled and said something like "Yeah i need to eat some more burgers" (in retrospect i think i should have tapped on her belly while making the comment). Im not really a balla Yet :(.

So we visited Financial District and drunk a beer before we did a ferry-ride across the Hudson, which was really cool. Takaa (one of my travel companions) let himself get hustled big time when some Black dude showed up, who was selling candy for 5$ a box and telling a story about how they helped the lowlife kiddos by playing basketball with them and they really needed equipment etc. To back his story up he showed a piece of paper where the story he just told was printed upon....pretty good prove! I guess Takaa was either afraid of this african american guy who desperately wanted to shake our hands and sharing names, or he was really hungry or something. Now that the weakish player in the group was spotted Mr Vendor tried to sell more boxes to Takaa. While the black beast was aproaching Takaa shrinked with fear but Takaa put himself together and told him to Fock off.

Last but not least i wanted to buy a MacBook Pro (its awsomeeeee). So we headed to the Apple store. After trying the macbook for a bit i decided to buy it and after arranging the deal with some sales guy i said i wanted to pay with my neteller mastercard. He looked at it and the next conversation started..

AppleDude: Sir you can't pay with this card although we do accept mastercards but this one we do not except.
La Mano: Dude..............
La Mano: ..............
La Mano: .............
La Mano: DUUDEEEEE...believe me you don't want me to pay cash..
AppleDude: Cash would be perfectly fine Sir!
La Mano: Ok then, you asked for it, im afraid i have to do this Balla-Styl
AppleDude: Balla-what?
La Mano: Can you count to 110?
Appledude: Say what? yeah i can , why?
La Mano: You'll see, gimme 20 min
Appledude: sure, ill just continue to do nothing!

So i decided to use my perfectly working mastercard to empty an ATM. I actually had to withdrawel two times because it was to much money for the ATM to handle (lol). So since in NY only 1 type of Bills comes out of ATM's I got my 2200$ in bills of 20 (total pack was almost 2 inches thick) and returned to the Apple store. I gave the money to a girl who's eyes lit up when she saw money. they counted the money with two persons, b/c it was obviously too much for them to handle. and finaly they shipped me my MAcBookPro
Its really nice actually.

well thats for the tripreport ...

photos will be on later cause im pretty done with trying to upload them and failing in evefry way...

That's all for now, rather long this time... Laterrr! Hans

This is it!

I guess i'm gonna start a blog. Ill be playing full time poker for a few months when i return from my holiday to the States this summer.

I hope to post some good content here...for starters perhaps some pic of the holiday and afterwards my progres at the poker tables.

The main challenge will be to keep this blog updated but i think it will be good for me to be able to read back my thoughts and motivations when im facing hard times during the big grind. After the first few months of poker i will evaluate and decide wheter i will travel the rest of the year around the globe and start my Master in Finance afterwards or wheter i'll be keep playing poker for as long as it will remain profitable enough.

During my holiday in the states i will not post much, just gonna enjoy life. Afterwards i intend to blog more.

P.S. My english grammer and writing is on the same level as your grandmothers Pokertracker skills, so plz don't flame on that.

We will visit NY, LA, San fransisco, Vegas and the bahamas, + some random citys like santa barbara, Santa Maria etc..

Thats all for now,

Have a nice summer y'all!
