Haven't been in the mood to play cash in a bit. Played the FTOPS Event #1 and came in 102nd for a little over $1k. Sat'd into it too so adds a small amount of profit. Here is the bust out hand.

Very small tilt session.

Despite having sould reads at a couple people at some tables, and being up a buyin and a half, I had to quit under 200 hands. I was playing a tourney on FTP and flopped two pair, got it in on the turn and he hits a set on the river. Normally, I obv get a little upset over it, but I can continue playing.

Not today

I did this directly after the beat. Also should mention that this guy had been 3-betting me pretty frequently. I called once before with QTs hoping to to get to showdown and see what he had. And I did, he had AKo. But then this hand happened not too much later. And he had been still 3-betting on two other tables. I decided to just shove it in and hope he folds a light 3B. But unfortunately he had KK. NH sir. I dont hate this play against alot of very aggressive players who will be 3-Betting very frequently and very lightly. Sometimes its just bad timing. But hey, maybe this guy was just getting a sick run. O well.

But that hand, plus the beat just put me in a foul mood, and I needed to quit immediately or else more money would've probably been lost.

So, -$16 is def not the worst session i've ever had :)

Buzzed poker...

Played another session tonight after downing some beers. Im pretty sure I was on a slow decent into break even for the day, at best, until this hand:

Woot

Which turns todays graph into this:

Welp.

Sadly, after that session yesterday i'm up overall less than I made in this session. O well, not worried about it.

short session

Blog by : LLeGGo

So after the crazy monkey-tilt session I had yesterday (which I should've quit in the first 100 hands) I hopped on an played a real short session of 4 tables. Did pretty good. Got some decent cards along the way, but for the most part it was easy to steal pots away when I felt I could. Had to adapt to Cake standards a few times though, such as this hand:

LOL check min-raising

And here is the biggest pot I lost.

Probably the greatest river play ever by villain

Am I ignorant in thinking that there is no reason to think you don't have the nuts in his spot? Whatever, minimize losses, thanks dude.

Decent little session, less life tilt and a little profit. Good times.

These are the worst of it, but they pretty much sum up this session. This challenge is testing me very early. Regular limits at Full Tilt are looking better every time. :(

Bad mood

Blog by : LLeGGo

No time for update. Obv everyone knows not to play in a bad mood. And today I did that, because I was bored. This is what happened. :(

I ran bad in a few spots such as AA < QQ AIPF. But for the most part it was just bad play. Might do some hands later on tonight because will be working very late tonight.

Played like poop

Blog by : LLeGGo

First, to the person who messaged me asking why in 3 sessions this is all the hands I put in. I have an actual job (US Army) so all day grinding is out of the question except for weekends.

K, so on to todays session. I played like absolute crap. In my eyes at least. But some howI came up on the session. I only lost one pot over 40 BB's, and that was this:

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2971255

This line he took with the hand is so standard to cake micros. It either means nothing or a lot. Its one of those situations where you get paid big, or lose big I think. Also, this was the very beginning of the session, and I had no info on the guy. It was unfortunate he had kings, but I play that the same way in many situations.

Other than that, the pots I lost werent very big at all. And I won a few decent sized ones. But there were a decent amount of medium sized pots lost, which is why I only ended up like $18 or so. But a few of the ones that I won, were because of passive opponents. such as this:

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2971303

So, blind battle. Easy raise. He calls.

On the flop, Im not believing this raise after my lead too often. Too common for SB to lead after raising and BB raise him off air.So I decide a RR is in order. He calls. At this point i'm done with the hand.

Turn, hit a ten. In some situations i'm pretty willing to check/call here. Trip and two pair outs are almost certainly good except for the odd times he has a set. And he could also just be floating that flop with junk or KQ. So I check and he checks behind.

Yummy, a T. Trips are certainly good after his turn check. I think he would be that turn alot with a set given my flop aggression as i'm alot more likely to call any bet he makes. I have almost a pot bet left, I push, he calls, I rivered him, NH sir.

And after seeing his hand its completely his fault it got to that point. Take note. When im aggressing like that on the flop, why not 4-bet me? Sure you may lose a customer but with TPGK and a strong flush draw in a blind battle, maybe it's a leak of mine, but I would be doing everything I can to get it in on that flop.

Anyways, thats it for today. I was really tired coming home and honestly didn't feel like playing. But I did and I won a little.

First few sessions...

So the first few sessions are in the books. The first two were before I started this, and the last was today. I switched between 6 and 8 tabling. This helps me from getting too tricky, which is very important against most of the players at this level. Playing a very solid aggressive game is important. Obviously. But lets get to the meat.

Stats for the sessions:

And lets start with some losing hands:

Pretty standard to start out with. Flop TPGK and make a standard C-Bet and get called from the UTG limper. This actually means nothing in most cases. And here, it still doesn't.

The turn was shitty, there were only two cards i didn't want to come, an A or a Q. And obv the Q falls. His lead set off an alarm. And right there I was pretty sure I was beat. I was getting 3:1 on a call so I decided to peel and maybe hit a K or J on the river.

The river blanks and he fires pretty big at me. Im not sure wtf I was thinking here. I guess It seemed like he was trying to buy it and I completely forgot about my feeling on the turn, and I shoved. This was obv a horrible move. In some cases I feel that its right, but not if im feeling what I did on the turn. Fold, sigh, and move on.

This hand and analysis is crap but is here as a reminder to me as to what not to do.

After searching through hands, i've found this to be the only sizable hand I lost from gross misplay. The only other two I lost a buyin with were pretty standard I think. Such as this:

www.cardrunners.com/members/display_hand.php

Flopped 2 pair after completing the SB and trying to C/R any bet. Success! o wait... Not worried about this one.

And the other was AK < AQ AIPF. GG

And a graph

So thats it for now.

Small Blog, Big Challenge?

Blog by : LLeGGo

Creating this to keep an account of a new challenge.

I am going to take $300, and start at NL20 on Cake Poker. I believe that is plenty as I'm pretty sure I have a pretty big edge on most people at this level, especially on this site. If my cakeroll drops below $240 for any reason, I will drop down a level. Hopefull I remember to update this and post hands and track BR on the site.

This is mainly for personal use, but If you happen to come across this, feel free to comment on any hands you may see. Thanks.
