All in all!

So, Thursday was pretty much, what I figured to be my test. I joined a FR tourney with AdOns and Rb's. It was limited to two tables and my table fortunately seemed to very weak and not willing to come around to contest big pots. It was sturdy preflop bets, and then three quick checks. Once I got a quick feel for the play around me, it was pretty much a done table. I wound up limping in UTG w/ Jd7d and flopping trips w/ a board of 7c, 7s, Qh. I checkd and the lady to my left went all in the lady next to her immediately called and the guy on the button soon would make the call. I set there and thought what might they have that could worry me I had everyone coverd in chips so my decision was pretty clear but i wanted to double check their strength. The girl to my left has been seeing flops and then quick mucking to to the turn. I figured her for top pair with a little frustration to add to that. The girl beside her is and older lady, that has been calling everything i cant even give her credit for a pair a this point. So now I come to the guy on the button, I figured it is possible for him to have A, 7, but I had enough to cover his small all in push that if i won the side i still get 5 to 1 on my money. EC... turn over girl beside me has Q,?, the old lady needs runner runner for the straight and the guy on the button has A,Q. So turn and river come no help. Chalk one up for. for about 6,800. I moved on to win a couple of extra pots and feel around the table a little more. Needless to say the other table had been rebuying like crazy we had 3 rebuys at are table. Table two had nearly 9. 3 times more, which incidently I was moved to that table after the break. I moved over there and was planing on being a little patient but felt dam good about my chances. First 3 hands a total of 8 people go all in. 3 first hand guy in seat 9 wins. 3 in the second hand, guy in seat 9 wins. Then last but not least seat 8 takes the last one in HU. I remained inactive until the final table joined. Second hand into the FT i have j,10 OS. I check in the BB, and the flop comes 9c,Qs,6c. I come out and bet 1,200 respectiviely w/ blinds at (200/400) I have two short stacks go all in for and one caller. I know if I hit i will win but the 2 clubs are scare cards to me when i going 4 way to the turn. I have 8,600 at this point and it will cost me 3,800 to make the call. need less to say i figured could see a free river with the guy that called the original 2 all ins before me. I knew he was weak player and given the chance i could sum him up in less than 50 hands HU. I wound up making the call and missing the u/d straight draw and mucking instantly i was down to 4,800. Now, I get a little card dead through about 15-20 hands as blinds go up. I probably should of not milked it to see if i could get a decent drawing hand but with all seriousness. For those 15-20 hands I couldn't get over a 9 high. Ex: 6, 2 just would not leave my hands alone. so I got a Q,9 suited and pushed my last 3,500. I got called quick by a A,J OS one more guy(dont remember what he had) needless to say he Ace high won.

Cash Game 1/2

This is really insignificant but I will put it out here cause its me acting really silly. I got done with the tourney around 10:00pm or so. They had a full table going mainly with a bunch of gamblers and a few hard core rollers. Only guy I worried about was the "numbers" he is a freggin math genius. But other than that he dosen't seem to comfortable in his skin. Normally, I would by into this game for 3- 6 hundred but i didn't plan on playing 1/2 tonight. I bought 65.00 in chips raced around for a bit and wound up losing w/ my qqs on the river to kks. All in all it wasn't a terrible night looking back at it. But for dam sure wasn't something I willing to repeat.

07' was a dreadfull year, poker was good but everything else in my life went crazy forcing me to quit playing poker for about 7 months from competitive play. Now 08' has come, I'm looking forward to the new year, with plent of opportunities to get back into some live cash/tourney games. For the record I am not a internet player by no means, although I wish otherwise, due to the fact of convience. I recently found a new 1/2 game a little outside were I live, I'm looking forward to seeing how it operates. I play at 2 other 1/2 games around the Ham, with this one coming up makes me even more anxious to get in with hopes of seeing a bunch of people I never met. So, the 08' agenda is pretty straight forward. Start hitting the 1/2 games for the first quarter of the year w/ no outside travel to casino's and cooling off on internet play. I might consider playing some MTT's @ small stakes but thats about it. Oh, I will be upgrading my account, Im stoked about that see what all this site has to offer. G2g.
