The Month of October was a great sucsess. The last week I finished up around $7500 or so. I had one day where I played terrible and finished down about 1K . The bestt session of the week was on Tue. I played two 5 hour sessions and finished up $2900. I finally stuck to a consistant scedule for the most part putting in over 40 hours. I finished up about 23K and made $2500 in Rake back. I will be traveling out to LA to visit a friend for the weekend . I leave Fri night and will be flying back back Mon if I dont fly to vegas. While I am out there I will prob play one Tourny at the Commerce and play some live poker. I have not played live poker since the the summer.

I am excited and optimistic about next month where I will only be playing 2-4. My focus this month is to play 2 Tourneys each week. and and make 35K.

If you have any qustions feel free to contact me.

The last two weeks have been solid even though havent been playing my best. I have been making alot of stupid mistakes that has cost me alot of money. My mind has been in other places I am planning a trup to LA in Dec and its been stressful.. I have almost met my goal of playing 5 hours a day. I am not sure how much I am up over the last two weeks but I am currently up a little over 11K for the month. The last 7 days I have played for about 28 Hours and am making about 144 an Hour. Sun was my best day I played 2-4 and finished up about $1100 in an hour and a half and finished up $700 playing 1-2.

The last week of October I would like to make a min of 4K bringing my monthly Profit to 15K . In the future I plan to play more Tourneys. I going to play @ least three a week. I would like to play one Sat Tourney the Sun Gurantee and the Sun Mulligan.

I hope to end the month on a high note.

Week 1 October Recap

Blog by : JaRoJr

This past week was interesting. So far it has been a successful 7 days. Starting with Tuesday, I played for about an hour and a half and made $113, not a huge win but it was solid. October 3rd I played for about 5 hours, I finished up $1345. I would like to play a minimum of 5 hours a day. Thursday was not very profitable. I played for almost 7 hours and made a wopping $40. I was happy with the session because I was down $600 in the first 20 min. Friday the 5th was again another successful day, I finished up $1071 playing a little less then 3 hours. Over the weekend I would have to say that I was pretty lazy. Over the two days I played less than 2 hours. Saturday I made $362 and Sunday $391.

A little information about what I play. I 8 table $1-2 NL full ring on FTP. I plan to move up limits this week or next . I currently have about 14K in my Roll 35 buyins at 2-4. I would like your opinions on if this is a good amount to move up from 1-2. I also have a real problem playing longer sessions when I am winning and playing shorter sessions when I am loosing. Does anyone have any advice that could help me with this ?

If anyone has any suggestions on what Tourneys are good to play on FTP? I would like to play @ least 2-3 Tourneys a week.

New to Card Runners

Blog by : JaRoJr

Whats up everyone ? My name is Mike and I am a new member to cardrunners. I joined the site to improve my skills and meet other professional players. I just recently decided to go Pro and am planning on moving to Vegas as early as Jan. I have been playing for about three years but never really made an attempt or a commitment to play for a living. The decision to go pro was a tough one for me. Five months ago I set a goal for myself ,I told myself if I could turn $10 into $10K I would take a shot. It took me about 3 and a half months to reach my goal of 10K , that was my main decision factor on turning pro. The other factor that played a huge part in my decison was my summer Vegas trip. I went to Vegas for two weeks. I stayed in a house with one of my friends from back home and his roomates , (Jerry Limber) my friend from back home. He plays 5-10 NL ( Michael Katz) a friend I went to school with. He plays 10-25 NL. There roomates where a kid named Cody. I forget his last name. He placed 100th in the Main event this year, Shannon Shorr a well known professional and John Little an up and coming pro. John won the WPT event at the Mirage. I was lucky enough to see it live. It was a cool exprience which changed my perspective on life and poker. I now play on FTP and at the Borgata in Atlamtic City. I love live poker but I mainly play online.

The 3 years before I decided to play for a living I was running a 1-2 NL game twice a week and going to school. I no longer run the game it was a fun two and a half years. I look forward to the upcoming challeges I face ahead.

I will attempt to post an entry one or two times a week. If anyone has any qustions or suggestions for me dont hesitate to contact me @ JaRo1231@aol.com or Im me @ JaRo1231
