So, I deposited $600 the other day on FTP. My original plan was just to play NL$100 6max; it was just a temporary amount of money that I could play with. Then today I'm like..."eh, I might as well try to grind some," so I 4tabled PLO$50 minbuying with $10, and ended up making $90 (plus FTP released $20 of my deposit bonus). I'm still unsure whether I should just play NL$100 6max 4tabling, playing more solidly/picking my spots etc, or if I should move down to NL$25 6max. I don't wanna give up so much equity...but who knows; maybe I could move down a limit for every buyin I lose? The reason I don't feel like grinding NL$25 is the money is too insignificant, making the game boring, as well as I don't know if it's really worth my time, since I know it takes months to build a good roll. Argh, annoying...
Today, the ATM ate my $1450 deposit, but hopefully everything will be resolved on Monday or Tuesday (like the teller said it would). Just a random-ass thing to make my day weird. The steak after my weird trip to the ATM smoothed things over a big :)
GL to a friend/friend of a friend, Anthony Gregg aka Tony G from Columbia, MD; he's in the final 3 of the PCA...first gets $3m, 2nd gets $1.7m, and 3rd gets $1.1m- SICK. This guy 16-24 tables 2/4nl-5/10nl on Stars, logging massive amounts of hands. His new house is pretty badass too, and I'm sure this $ will help him furnish it insanely. It's funny because when the EPT camera people looked over at his friends section, I recognized a few ppl I knew as well, and even played with a bit. He's currently chiplead- I'm watching the EPT live stream.
GL to my friend Alex in Beloxi; he will attempt a $500 satty into the $5k PLO Championship tomorrow. He also ended up making $7.5k at the 10/25/25 PLO table in like an hour and a half lol- can't wait till I'm fucking 21 to play with live donks!
In the next week, things COULD potentially change drastically. I may get a few stakes into events at Turning Stone, and make a trip up there before school starts on the 20th. I'm not sure what the prize pools are, but I'm looking at one event thats $200 (which I would put myself in), but there's a $500, and MAYBE even a $1350 that I would want a stake in (I'd obv have to work something out and base it on how I've been playing in the smaller tournies before I think about it). I'd also be working on grinding the cash games, since apparently they're decently-lively during tournies. I may be stressed in the next few days though getting everything together, not just travel arrangements, but books for the upcoming classes, moving back into my dorm, and doing this stupid math placement test (which I think I'll fuck up) to get me into my Math 108 Business Calc class. Should be an amusing week to end winter break...and maybe I'll come back much richer!?!?!?!?
