So I took a week break. It was much needed in order to get my school work in order and to just relax. Feels weird having not really played in a week, but I think I needed it.

I dont really know where to start this afternoon in the poker world on UB. Im looking right now and there aren't really any games running. Oh well, I need to make sure I dont get lazy after having such a great first half to this month.

gl everyone, I'll update later

Interesting Session

Blog by : IHugFatChicks

So I pulled some money out of my UB account today, ~2k, because my laptop just simply will not work anymore, so I have to buy a new one for school purposes.

I then started up a session of 400nl, and 600nl. I was immediately stuck 2k and I'm sitting there thinking to myself great, that was bad luck pulling that money out. I then went on a 4.5k heater so i feel much better having covered what I took out and then some.

This was the hand that got things started. In the end I almost felt bad, becase he tilted off 3 more BIs in the next like 5 hands after this.

I feel like I have to call the turn, even though i know at this point he has a monster, given his position and how hes playing the hand. The implied odds I have there to win a big pot I feel is pretty good though because he is folding zero rivers at this point IMO. Turns out he had JJ and I got very lucky

This was like the third hand I played. This guy was like a 45/23/2 at the time and I couldn't really find the fold button against the percieved fish. I felt like he would over value two pair or something on the river, but I think that his is really just a cooler. BTW he had flopped the nuts with AKo. I couldn't really put that in his range because hardly anyone flats pre with it anymore. oh well.

Many Updates

Blog by : IHugFatChicks

Sorry I havent updated in a while but I have been very busy. I have been able to play a decent about of cards though with some decent results for the month. For starters I won a seat to the Aruba Classic. I won't be able to go though, so If anyone is interested I will be selling the seat worth 5.5k for 3k. PM me if you need more info. As for cash play I have been playing everywhere from 400nl to 2500nl. I have run bad in the 100nl games but other than that everything has been pretty smoothe. I'll post current stats for the month, graph, and a big hand I played tonight. Enjoy

This guy had been playing every hand, and firing a ton. I hadn't played a hand with him yet, but I had a tightish image and I knew he would go nuts if I took a passive line. I realize that this can be a disaster move most of the time, but against him it was for value. My read was obv correct this time, so I guess I was fortunate. enjoy

First 600nl session

Blog by : IHugFatChicks

I had a great weekend hanging out with my gf. It was really relaxing. We didn't really go out or anything, we rented a movie and just hung out and drank some wine. Couldn't really ask for a better way to refocus.

So today I played my first 600nl session. It went really well. I mean I didn't really bank or anything, but I just wanted to log a win and try to ease my way in. I'll post the stats below. I also played a 400nl sesh that went well also. I also had a couple of hands I think I missed some value on that I would be interested to see what you guys think should have been done. gl

This hand was fairly straightforward. The only think I think I screwed up was not raising on the turn. Being that it was a four way pot, and the guy to my right had fishy stats, GUI and the other guy are capable of slowplaying anything on that flop and I didn't want to get cold four bet and not know what to do. However, our vilian ended up having AQ. I really think I could have raised small on turn and shoved river and he would have paid it off. He was a 43/12/.6 or something. Anyway let me know what you think.

Taking the weekend off

Blog by : IHugFatChicks
0

I'm very please with the first part of september, so i'm taking the weekend off completely and going to North Texas to spend the weekend with my girlfriend. I needed to get away and regroup for school purposes because my first two weeks ive been running terrible with minimal motivation.

On a poker note, I'm very close to being rolled for the 600nl games and I'm excited for that. I think that once my RB and Interest from UB from last month comes in I'll be set for those games. I'm just gonna ride this as far as I can. I don't see much changing since basically the same people that are playing 400nl are playing 600nl and 1000nl as well. Oh well, just stuff to look forward to. Hope everyone has a fun safe weekend. Run Well

meh school, HU action

Blog by : IHugFatChicks

So I was a complete donkey and slept through my first class after playing HU till 3am. I'm kind of annoyed with myself because I need to make a 3.1gpa to get into the business school this spring, however its only the second week so I should be ok.

I managed to find a complete spewtard/drunk/fish that actually didn't hit and run me last night. He bought in full, doubled through me and then I doubled back through him. I mean this guy didn't fold A high usually. I just couldnt catch hands to value bet thin, I mean I couldnt make bottom pair.

This first hand really illustrates the type of player he was. He was three betting me a ton so I basically just waited for a decent hand and four bet him here really big with AQs. He snap called and donked pot on the flop. At this point any two cards are in his range and I shove and he snapped me off with 9 2 o and owned my soul i guess.

I really enjoyed this hand, although I didnt do much. He had three bet me like ten times in a row so I had just been seeing flops with him since his ranges were all f'd up. After he c bet this flop I just over shoved knowing that I was ahead of anything but a set basically, and lets face it, sets are not in his range at all. So he snapped me off with 93o, I rivered the nuts, bustoed his roll, GG

Solid sesh, gross 200+bb hand

Blog by : IHugFatChicks
0

In total I played four sessions today. After my third this afternoon I was up 60 after 3kish hands lol. Just a gross breakeven day. I have been working a lot of 400nl into my game. I only played like 800 hands last month, but still had good results. (obv small sample size). Im def rolled for the game so I played another session there tonight. I played for an hour and made 1100. I was pleased with my play. I lost a 200bb pot to Gandalf__noo though. Its not that I havent lost hands like that before, It just stung me because I was having such a nice smoothe session before getting kicked in the nuts.

Below I will post that hand along with my total 400nl results. I wish the 2-4 games on UB would run more. Its hard to get more than like four going at one time. Oh well, hopefully that will change soon. GL everyone

Gandalf and I had not really gotten into it much at this point, but this more than made up for it. I think the flop was pretty standard. Oh yeah and he had TT, since the HH thing is gay. On the turn I feel like he should weight my range heavily towards over pairs givin my UTG raise preflop. So on the turn I really doubt he was raising me for value since im not double barrelling that board with nothing. I Just really couldn't put him on a hand except for like 444 or something so I flatted with the intention of calling any river. Of course it came the way it did, but I stuck to the plan and lost to the rivered straight. I'm not sure that he folds if I shove the turn, especially if he wasn't turning his hand into a semi bluff, but I would be interested in what you guys think about it.

So I have played roughly an hour and 45 mins of annoying, grueling poker. I may call it a day since I just really don't feel it. I have played 1384 hands and i'm up $3.90 HA. Oh well.

I attempted the good 'ol double checkraise twice today and had it blow up on up both times. Enjoy

I don't know why it doesn't show what the villian had, but in this hand our genius villian had KK. Needless to say he played it bad on the flop, but I guess my ck raise always means a draw>>?
