Been playing a bunch of hands lately, putting in short sessions and doing my best to not tilt/quit when I don't feel like playing. I have been 4-9 tabling $50 max and been running decent finally and I can tell my game is coming together a lot better. I'm finally back into the green for this month and that feels great considering how bad I was getting crushed.

I'm pretty excited about all the reload bonuses and promotions going on at Absolute. Along with that, rakeback is going to be a great addition to my overall profit. I plan on cashing out whatever I make from rake and paying off my car insurance and other bills like that. I deposited a little more than $300 to get the 75% and 25% bonuses, so my acccount balance increased so I have to remember to take that away from my overall profit.

I find myself stacking off a lot less often with hands I shouldn't and laying down a lot of hands that I should be mucking. It is starting to feel really good and hopefully things keep going so well. I'm going to keep grinding $.25/.50 with a 100 BB stack until my roll reaches around $2500. Then I'll either buy in for 200 BB's or just move up to $.5/1 and buy in for $100 and see how that goes...Back to the grinding though, hopefully everything keeps going smooth.

So after I finished writing my blog I went to play in my league that is every monday night. It's a pretty fun league. Its a bunch of older guys my fathers age (~50) that are fuckin' hilarious, and usually pretty wasted, and then me, my brother, and a couple other kids around 21. The turnout is usually around 25 guys and we go out in 4-somes to play 9 holes. Everyone puts in $5 for the top 3 teams to get paid and closest to the pin on one of the par 3's gets $20. Usually the winners buy a round for everyone back at the club and end up with about $5, so it's almost better to get 2nd. But you can't really sandbag it on purpose because they take your score and match it up with another player randomly, then add up both of the scores. Today I ended up with the 2nd best score and got paired up with the 2nd worst score, because I run great in life, and got a whopping $14.

The best part of the day (for you guys and not really me) was when I fucked up on a par 5 and ended up double bogeying the hole after I smoked my drive. Then I bring out my 5 wood and hook it into a group of trees on the side of the hill and end up shooting it over the green in not very bad position to get a par. I then muffed my chip from about 10 yards and left it on the fringe of the green, about 25 feet from the hole. That really got me pissed. I proceeded to toss my wedge about 50 yards down the hill, and soon after I missed my 10 foot putt by about a quarter of an inch my putter followed it-plus about 5 more yards...impressive. So after I tap in for a 7 there is a par 4 downhill, doglegging right with a bunch of trees on the immediate right and trees about 50 yards to the left. So then I hit my 4 iron, not a bad shot at all, on the left side of the fairway. I don't know what pissed me off at that moment because it was a decent shot, but I just got pissed and swung at the divot repair box. Next thing I know my club head is flying through the air. It's pretty unexplainable why I did that, considering I had about a 130 yard clear shot to the green from where I ended up. I think it was just the fact that I was pissed at everything before I started playing and I just took the frustration out by tossing clubs/smashing them off stuff.

But anywayss, I played a little bit after that and did a pretty good job. I can feel myself starting to get the jist of cash games a lot more and every time I play I feel like I'm fixing a leak or two which is great. I've also just gotten rakeback added onto my account (thanks raketherake.com) and I'm really excited about that. I plan on cashing out however much I make from rakeback and using that for spending money, unless I go busto and lose a bunch of my roll.

I'm in a good mood now because I had bought PT3 and had just realized that I got a free version of PT2 and PAHUD along with that. That's great considering I'm banned from both Stars and FTP and it's basically useless to me unless I'm using my brothers name on Stars, which is pretty rare and only for tournies usually. But I found it a LOTTT easier to play while using that and it kinda opened my eyes when I realized how awful these kids really played. I had PT2 and shit on my desktop but it's really slow and I think it tilts me more than taking a bad beat when the fuckin' screens all freeze and turn yellow...and usually when I have a couple monsters that'll get paid off, but whatever haha. This is getting too long, my bad. I'm getting back to grinding and I'll post an update if I'm still in a good mood or if I take a bunch of bad beats I'll come back to rant for a while cuz I know some of you guys enjoyed reading my last one.

Things aren't looking so bad for the way I'm running lately. I feel like I'm really starting to understand the way to play cash now. I've been watching countless videos and going over tons of hands and beginning to fix a lot of leaks in my game. I now notice why I've been losing so often. It wasn't just running bad, but playing bad and also tilting that has been killing me. At least it's not all out monkey tilt shoving 100 bb's for no reason though. I just get in moods where I want to play every decent hand thats suited/connected to try and stack kids when it is clearly the wrong move. I'm getting better at realizing when I'm about to do that and can usually can stop myself before I do anything too drastic. I also ended up getting rakeback on my account so now I can add a few buyins at the end of the month, so that's always a plus.

I'm beginning to think setting a goal of reaching 5k this month, playing cash games that I have never really beaten too consistently, is a pretty big mistake. I can't set my goals so high when I'm basically learning to play the game. I feel like it might cause me to play with a false sense of urgency. Beating these limits is going to take a lot of patience and level-headedness and just knowing that a losing day sets me back from my goal that I set for myself may make me want to take unnecessary shots at higher stakes to make my money back. That being said I need to set a guideline for when I'm going to move up levels. I'll do that later though, I'm in the middle of a session 4-tabling and going to head out for my golf league thats every monday night.

i managed to get my roll down to $400 playing 50 max somehow. I can't really tell if it's just me being fucking awful at cash or these microgrinding retards are actually beating me. I feel like every hand I play I get either coolered or sucked out on and it's making me go crazy. These kids are absolutely awful and I cannot beat them for the life of me. I've tried playing lag, tag, hag, drag, fag or whatever the fuck else you can even play in this god damn game. every c-bet gets fuckin called to either suck out on me or just fold immediately when i flop the nuts. I don't even know what to do differently anymore except for quit fucking playing cash games. I'm so pissed right now considering I did a better job beating these games when I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I'm starting to believe absolute fucking douchebag poker is rigged because every time I hit a set I'm either up against a straight or a flush. luckily these fuckin morons don't know how to buy in for a full fucking stack or I'd be totally busto right now. just thinking about this game is putting me on lifetilt and making wanna shoot someone. i feel like every single player i'm against is just put in this world to fuckin annoy my life and I'm lucky i still have this piece of shit laptop. i don't even get how i lose to these morons that never fucking fold anything at all and just call everything with douchebag hands. this is the most annoying shit i've ever done in my life. i think i'd rather work than grind these fuckin douchefaggot limits.

So I've tried blogging before and have given up on it a few times already, but I am really going to do it better this time (can't be too much worse than the last few attempts imo) !!

I've watched countless videos across a few different sites trying to learn how to play cash games and I'm just now beginning to get the feel for them after making a very rough transition from tournaments. Now that I'm banned for having multiple accounts on FTP (for trying to make a 2nd account for rakeback) I've moved to Absolute to play lower limit cash games. Last month I decided to cash my whole roll out/tilt it off at 25/50 NL and redeposit $500 on AP. I've doubled it to $1,000 and I'm setting a goal of making $5,000 playing solely cash games on this site- although I'll still be playing tournies on Stars under my brother's name (double a tom) because we share a roll on that site now. I'm setting this goal in order to have some fun while grinding away and hopefully anyone else will be provided with some entertainment also.

Lately I haven't been playing too much because of the Celtics recent success and the drinking that comes along with that. Also, having a girlfriend and playing golf frequesntly and all those other chores get in the way a lot too, lol. Realizing that all the other good poker players are in Vegas right now having the time of their lives and playing in the biggest tournies out there has really opened my eyes. I told myself last year that I was going to go this year but I don't have the bankroll to get out there and play the tournaments I want and it is sort of disappointing to me. I feel like my tournament play is on point and I could do some damage in the tournies if I had the chance to. So if anyone reading this is interested in backing me online or for live tournaments I'd love the opportunity. If not, hopefully I'll see everyone there next year and good luck to everyone playing out1 there this year.

Had a pretty good weekend, probably because little poker was involved. All I really played were a few SNG's tonight, but I did really well. I played about 15 $16-27's and made a little over $200 in about in hour. Hopefully that continues tomorrow, as I'm probably going to play for a while, depending on how it goes. Lately it seems like XBox360 has been taking most of the time that I usually set aside to play poker. Call of Duty 4 is a really sick game, and I recommend anyone who likes first person shooters to get it. I also play Halo 3 and NBA Live 08 a lot, so it leaves little time for me to wanna play any poker while on a vicious downswing. My XBox live name is "Sup I Smoke" so send a friend request or send me a message if I'm playing and you want to get in a game together or something. Other than that, it was me and my girlfriend's 1 and a half year anniversary and I almost forgot about it. Whoooops, she didn't like that too much. We didn't really do anything to celebrate yet though, but I told her I owe her a dinner at her favorite place to eat, The Cheesecake Factory. The night after I ended up going to the bar with a few of my friends, and got smashed like usual..Then came home to an angry girflriend at 3:30 a.m. like usual. I had a great idea to fire up a little Call of Duty 4 while she was trying to sleep, which made her even more ecstatic that I was home. She proceeded to bitch me out of the room, so I played in my bro's room for a little bit. Anyways, I'm just rambling on right now, but I'll get back on here and write something if anything comes up. I lost most of my money playing $.25/.50 yesterday, mostly on ridiculous hands. I don't really care though, it was only like $200, which I usually spend on a tournament buy-in. The downswing is annoying the hell outta me though, and I really don't feel like playing. I think tonight I'm just going to go to the bar and see if I can come up with another story to make this blog more interesting before I just stop with the idea since poker blows.

Well this is my first actual blog and I feel like it's a good time for me to start because I just began a personal challenge. I've been running absolutely terribly late in tournies for about 3 months now and have been contemplating making the transition to cash games because of it. After playing great for hours and hours just to get knocked out of the tournament making hardly any money at all really gets to you after a while and poker starts to become a pain instead of a lot of fun like it should be. That's why I'm beginning this challenge. I haven't gone busto or anything, but I figured it would be fun and doable to turn $0 into $10,000. It's not from completely scratch, as I have 45k fpp's in my account..but that's it. I have already played a little bit, and turned 5400 fpp's into $215 T$ by winning a seat to the Sunday Million on my first try and unregistering. From there I played some heads up SNG's to turn it into cash so that I can play low level cash games. I'm not practicing good bankroll management at the earlier stages of this challenge because part of the fun is to see how quickly I can do it. As of now, my account is sitting at $252.32 after a very limited amount of playing. From here I plan on playing $25 NL and some SNG's in the $10 range to build it to an amount where I feel I can move up a little bit. After each day or couple of days of playing I'm going to post the amount I've won in a session along with my current bankroll, and maybe some other important occurences along the way. Along with the poker, I may also post a little bit of shit that happens in my personal life too if anything good happens.

Non-Poker: Red Sox won the World Series & Patriots beat the Colts, lets fuuuuuuckin' gooooooo!! Had a pretty solid couple weeks of partying and hanging out with friends during the Red Sox run. Friday night me and a few of my friends head to this bar right down the street after pre-gaming at his house with some Jager bombs, beers, and some other mixed drinks (you might notice this happens quite often if I continue to post in my blog)..so we're all pretty good already. Right when we get there we decide it's a good time to take some shots, and put it on my tab (like we always do). This one bartender that takes my tab is absolutely smokin', and actually notices that I've always taken the tab for my friends. So now she clearly thinks I'm baller, and eye-fucks the shit outta me whenever I walk by. I figure giving her a $20 tip after handing her my credit card is +EV, and she is utterly impressed. After that I confidently walk past a few guys I know from around my town, giving them dapsaka black people handshakes, even though they're all white) and saying whats up to them for a minute. Finally I made my way to the back room where all my buddies were hanging out waiting for a table to open so we could watch the game. All of a sudden some older guy approaches us and is like, "hey, do you guys want a table in like 5-10 minutes?" And we're all like, "yeah that'd be sweet." So then he tells us to go up to him and act like we haven't seen him for a while so we can take his seats. And we were like OK, that's cool..but why? He said there was a group of people standing around waiting rudely for him to leave. After like 3 or 4 minutes of waiting he looks over at us, signalling us to walk over to his table and sit down. I sit next to the guy and his wife (or girlfriend, I don't clearly remember) and am like "heeeyyy man, long time no see." He says "I almost didn't recognize ya." Which he clearly didn't, seeing as it was the first time I'd ever seen this guy (he sorta looked like a slimmer version of Chris Moneymaker)..So we all start cracking up pretty good, all while we're getting stink-eyed by the losers that were waiting for the table. Hahah suckersss. 10 minutes go by and we're all still hanging out at the table drinking with this couple, having a good old time. Next thing you know it one of my good friends' sister (also one of our friends, but I've known her sister forever) comes by, wearing this ridiculous shirt with her huge tata's hanging out. I couldn't help but throw out a few comments about how I couldn't look her in the eyes when her tits were looking so good. Anyways, this guy decides that he also likes them after she leaves. I'm pretty hammered at the time and I told him something about how I could motorboat her huge, voluptuous tits...This leads to that, and eventually I end up calling her over so I could get a hug from her. Next thing she knows my nose is being dug deep into her tatas, hugely to the liking of myself, the random guy that invited us to the table, and a few of my friends. Little did I know, while it was happening,my friend took a picture of it. Shortly after that happened, the man and his wife decided to take off. I think they said something about him going to try and be a motorboating sonuvabitch like myself. I'm pretty sure a lot of other good stuff happened that night, but I'm getting too tired to write more. I'll get back with some more exciting news when I feel like it. Hope you guys enjoyed.
