Aug - Sept 2010 results

I started playing a little more serious over the summer trying to learn to beat 2NL and 5 NL and build up a bankroll. I'm finally starting to feel more comfortable these last couple months and I'm hoping to have a bankroll ready to take a shot at 10 NL soon.

You need to put on a lot more hands. 30 K minimum, and regardless of what most people say a 50 buyins stack ,and 100 is better. Also you MUST listen to VitalMyth series the big difference. Don't concerned about moving up in a hurry, variance can send you back down in a hurry. Also you almost always loose when you move up in the begginning. A while back i'd built my roll up to $700 on Star playing 2/5/10. I move to $0.25, with barely 30 buyins. By the time i'd gotten off the down express elivator, i had about $200+ left. Go to poker table ratings and look up world153, and Adamwill. Then you'll get some idea of when to move up. Good luck.

AAATONYKK,I have a little over 50K hands at 2NL and 5NL over the last 10 months, but I agree I still have a small sample size of hands overall. I'm familiar with Adamwill and world153, but there is no way I will be able to get that kind of volume of hands as I only play on the weekends as this is just a hobby for me. I will consider waiting till 50 buyins before 10NL.Thanks for the advice.

i would play with 20 buyin bank roll, move down when you drop to 15. keeps it interesting, no need for 100 buy ins when its just a hobby
