The day is almost here! Wednesday at 11am I pick up the Uhaul truck to move Sophia and my bedroom furniture over to the new place. We couldn't be more excited. We got the keys at the end of last month but have really taken our time moving out of the old place. We've been shuttling all the breakable small stuff and generally anything we can carry over. Now our room looks quite barren. Our first sleep in the new apartment will be something I'll really enjoy.
I mentioned in the last blog that my new place is in a nicer building and 15 floors up. I will get a video up once we get the place furnished. On that note we have to head to The Brick, a Canadian furniture store I get a ridiculous deal at, to buy our living room and dining room stuff. We had a scouting expedition and have tentitively picked out our gear. So far we both fell in love with the Temperpedic memory mattress and a Modesto Marissa leather couch. They are both like sitting into a warm LFMagic hug. For those who haven't met Luke Fields he is basically the worlds best hug. Anyways if all goes according to plan we will be moved in and furnished by the end of the month.
On a super happy positive note I took full use of the buildings pool and sauna setup. Its a sauna that you can pour water on the rock to make steam. I sweat out a large amount of water.
Poker has been going well although I did bluff shove 70BB on the river over my friend Mr Blonde 25bb bet just to be shown a boat. Its basically payback for the day I ran like god all over Blondes face to the point I actually turned on Skype to acknowledge how wild it was. I felt much better when he told me that he'd been pillaging all afternoon and the money he gave me was inconsequential.
Besides poker and the move the only new thing in my life is my new personal trainer Mike. He's determined to whip me into shape. I hit 200 pounds on the scale and finally caved that I needed a real overhaul. Apparently my notion that sushi is super healthy was wrong. That paired with me completing the 85 pints of beer MBA at Mill St added to the creation of Bellbantoor, my gut. For a six feet tall guy 200 pounds is bad. I want to get down to 170 then build back up from there. We've changed my diet completly and I'm one week in. Lots of chicken and fish with no red meat or sandwhich meat. For the time being carbs are out and veggies are in. The transition was a lot easier than I thought it would be and I'm already down to 195. I'm smart enough to know the first week means nothing but its nice to run away from the two hundo mark.
The new diet and lifestyle has greatly improved my productivity. I've been waking up at 9am all week and on the tables by 10. More hands means more opportunity and on a side note more rakeback. I've always considered rakeback a bonus to my income and not the other way around.
Well I gotta jet as Walk the Line is playing in the other room at the end when he asks June to marry him and I really love the whole film. That and News Room is coming on.
Good luck all!
