I ran pretty incredible the last few days, and I think it is soon time for me to take some shots at 5nl. Not sure if I'm ready even though I did my homework and tried to get the theory into my head better. I guess at least I'll be able to take the monetary value "somewhat" seriously which is really hard at 2NL imo.

Been a member here for a couple month now, and thanks to all the good stuff posted in the forums I feel really comfortable at 2nl and going to move to 5nl shortly. I pray that my heater at 2NL was not all just positive variance ;)

I used to play tournaments and SNGs but I am really sick of torturing myself so I decided to make a switch to cash games. Not sure yet whether I want to go the NL or PLO route. But definitely no more of countless hours tied to the PC nursing a 25bb stack. It's just senseless.

I work a full time job so I might not be able to play as often as I would like to. But hopefully I can stay actively involved with this awesome community as much as possible.

Compared to $2NL, the $5NL players aren't quite as loose and spewy, but they definitely are not good players. Solid play will show a steady profit. Take a shot at the $5NL. You can also make the transition more gradual by playing both levels at the same time (multi-tabling and splitting up the tables half-half). GL.

GL @ 5 nl I'll follow this blog from now on.

45/100 is certainly a sick heater and not sustainable at 5nl, but there's no doubt your beating the 2nl games and as Kjul says if you play the same game then 5nl should be fine :) Don't play too many tables and make every decision as easy for yourself as possible. Report back soon!

PLO at the micros is almost impossible to beat because the rake crushes you big time.
