Changing gears... grinder nit mode

Blog by : Fewree
0

I just finished a pretty bad but not aweful session. I'm not used to playing this low anymore, I really need to tone down my VPIP/PFR and bluffing frequency. It just seems like all the players are either CR/2p2 grinder nits or god aweful donks.

I also think I made a few really spewy plays that I wouldn't normally make. I only got 6 hours of sleep, I also did a 1/2 hour of cardio in the morning plus another 1/2 hour in the evening, so I guess I just really was not in the zone. I really didn't even enjoy playing.

Hopefully I'll find my groove again soon.

$1000 heater

Blog by : Fewree
0

Like the title says I'm on a $1000 heater. I think $600 is from HU and $400 is from 6-maxes. If things keep on going this way I might be moving back up to 1/2 ahead of schedule. But it may still take another 2 weeks, as I was underrolled when I started playing the .5/1 games again.

Reppin' a flush draw

Tough spot here, I think when I check the river I either have the type of hand that I have or a bluff. That's also a really good river to bluff at, and I thought villain was an aggressive enough player.

So far so good

Blog by : Fewree
0

I've been playing a lot of .5/1 NL six max and HU. I'm down about a BI in six maxes for the week, due to me tilting off a stack. I've been doing pretty good HU though, including a $500 win last night.

Sorry no HH's, I finally got into some interesting spots last night in my last HU session, but I was playing on my new Macbook that I got for my birthday in November (given to me in hopes I would attend college) and I forgot to enable HH's. I'm pretty diasappointed too, the game was playing soo loose aggressive that I would've loved to have posted some of the more interesting hands.

Trying to get rolled

Blog by : Fewree
0

Verneer is shipping me some money on FTP today. I'm looking forward to playing in the midstakes games again. This is going to be my third poker bankroll ever. I busted my first 3k bankroll from tilting and playing underrolled. I never actually busted for a second time, I just had to withdraw a bunch of money due to financial hardship. I'm hoping to be playing 1/2 NL by the end of January and 2/4 by the end of February.

EDIT: Fixed the HH's... enjoy!

Here's some hands from a few months ago:

Very aggressive game, tons of 3-betting preflop, and the occasional 4-bet.

Villain loves to fire multiple barrels on dry boards. Villain knows I make lighter call down than most, and would probably be more inclined to 3-barrel bluff me.
