1st day of February

I'm not expecting much from February in poker terms, as I have exams in the university and I'm going to be busy. I still want to play some hands to keep my mind in shape, but I'm not setting any goals or putting presure on me, because it is going to be a stressing month anyway.

I have to go to university like 3 times per study year, I don't go to lessons daily, but with this system it takes me 4 years to graduate, instead of 3. I took the decision to study this way when I trained a lot as a tennis player and wanted to try to play pro. I didn't work for me, but I still learned a lot from these experience. I hope to write an entry only about tennis in the future. By the way, I study Business Administration in uni, if that matters. I'm overall interested in this object, but the study system is so bad in Moldova, that I hate going to the university.

I still had some time for poker on the first day of February, so here is the graph. I had two sessions actually, the first was not very good (in red right from the start and till the end).

The evening session was short, but killing (439 hands and

465$ profit at 100NL).

Edit: I tried to post some hands from weaktight in the blog directly, but can't make it work. If someone could help, I'll be very grateful.

January Totals

I had a somewhat swingy month, but I think this is due to taking shots at 100NL, first at 13 buy-ins (dumb) and then at 20bi (better). The last couple of days of the month kind of cut my wins, but I still have not reason to whine. I got 534$ from rakeback and clearead the sign-up bounus at AP.

I also had my coaching first session with Verneer. It went great in term of action and game situations, I played like 30/23, but I got some good cards. I also won 2.6bi at 100NL, so not bad. The big problem during the session was the lag with image and sound. The issue was on my side, so the next day I chosed another internet provider, which has higher speeds of connection, but it will take a little time for them to connect me, because they have a big demand for their services. New connection is going to cost me like 40$ per month, but if it works fine (as it should), I will pay them happily.

Update

I'm playing on Absolute right know. After I'll clear the sign-up bonus I'll decide where to play next. I had played 25NL, 50NL and taken shots at 100NL (underrolled) all 6-max, but after losing like 3 buy-ins at 100NL and playing badly at 50NL I had to drop to 25NL for a couple of sessions.

I think that my biggest problem is not my game, but the fact that I want to to achieve a lot and in a short period of time. That makes me rush. Anyway, I had a great time on Sunday during the sweat session that our group had. It was both usefull and funny and the last 3 days where good pokerwise. I haven't played many hands, but I've been thinking more about my decisions and the cards also helped me.

The difference between VPIP and PFR is big, but in this games there a some limp-callers, so I think it's not the worse approach to play.

On a side note here's a short moldavian film. It may be hard for you to fully understand this mentality, unless you're from south-eastern Europe, but still take a look.

New start, new thoughts...

I didn't update my blog for a long time and I really regret it, but I know I'm back and happy about it. I had some ugly downswings and results at omaha and I don't play anymore at my old location, because the games got tougher and the swings are too big for me. So I cashed out a part of my BR, lost the other one...

I had some dificulties setting up my second computer and moving some money to a big poker room. I hope to get some money on Absolute and I have like 25 dollars on Stars.

I also decided to run a poker website and to create a poker community in Moldova (no matter how small it will be) and maybe make some money out of poker room affiliate programs. I don't know how it will work out, but it's an interesting process of speaking to different people that help me with the web-design and learning new things.

I still have a big desire to go with my poker and I hope to start playing soon 50 NL on AP and maybe built some sort of BR on Stars. I really want to play in a place where I can use PT and a hud to start getting more involved in Verneer study group.

I'm trying to get more diciplined and organised, so I will go to bed, because it's 1 AM already.

Good luck to those who deserve it : -)

CLIMBING HIGHER

Blog by : FatalBazooka

The week that just ended, was as good as the last one in poker. I earned about 1.1k, which is a lot of money for me, but this time it was more stressful. I played more hours(40h), I discovered some health issues(which will have an unknown at this moment impact on my life) that I have and I survived a little bit of tilt and downswing.

I continued to play in my secret location(read previous entry for details), mainly PLO 0.25/0.5, 0.5/1 and NLH 0.5/1. At this moment I have enough money to return the debt, but will not do so until I earn some money to play with. I still plan on building here a 3k bankroll, but it depends on how the games and their profitability evolve. The past two weeks I had little time to watch videos and improve my poker game. I still watched thou muddywater's deep stacks video and noticed that my thought process and playing style has some commonalities with his(not comparing us, of course). This was a nice thing to find out and I hope to see some other videos of him playing.

I really want to improve my game in order to beat 100NLH, but at this moment I have the possibility to build a bankroll and this is my top priority.

I was also thinking the last couple of days about having a balanced lifestyle, which is a thing I strive for, but it's not that easy to achieve, playing poker and being not a very social guy.

I leave in the nothern hemysphere, so the winter is on her way and the weather got miserable. I don't like when it gets cold, but at lest I'm working inside, sitting at a computer and playing poker.

Nice poker week

Blog by : FatalBazooka

I had a great poker week, the best one in my short poker career.

I played in a smaller poker room, because the players are pretty weak there and they also have some good bonuses. I played even PLO and although I'm just learning the game, I think I have a good edge playing there. As long as the game are that profitable in this place, I'm not moving anywhere : -). Don't ask me the name of the poker room please, because I have no interest in telling it(at peak hours, there are like 2-3 active tables). I hope to earn there enough money to return the debt I wrote about in the previous entry and to build a solid bankroll for 100NL Holdem, but even if I will have the right br for this game, I won't start playing it, until I have some good results at 25NL and 50NL.

I'm also glad that I joined CR, like it a lot and I have already improved my understanding of some game moments thanks to videos and the forum.

On the downside, I'm having a very hard time emotionally, because me and my girlfriend decided to stop our relationship. I think it is the best decision for both of us, but even this thought doesn't make me feel better. It's sad, because I put all my heart into this relationship, but now we are heading in different directions and we can't be together. Another thing that is making me feel bad, is the fact that she doesn't want to see me anymore know. She says, that this is to painful for her. A interesting thing is the fact that she supported me in my poker experiences.

Sorry for getting too emotional, I just needed to write down what I feel.

Good luck and take care of the ones you love.

General stuff

Blog by : FatalBazooka
0

Hi everyone, I'm starting my blog,.

I was thinking of doing this for some time and I consider CR the right place for this, because I'm not a very social guy, so sharing some personal info is a challenge for me but I think I'll be fine. Although I just joined the community, I noticed the friendly atmosphere here and I think I can trust you and share with you some of my thoughts.

I must say that the goal of this blog is to help myself become a better poker player and a wise and idependent man(sounds too serios, but' it's ok), but I'll be glad if other members will enter here from time to time(welcome!).

So, I'm 20, leaving with my parents(want to change this), play poker at the lowest levels(today I even played NL10, tragic), but I know I have a big potential to become a good poker player, I just have to understand how to materialize it.

I also have a debt of about 2.5k dollars, that has nothing to do with poker(I borrowed them for a noble cause), besides the fact that I plan on returning the money from poker winnings.

I don't want to make the story long, it's enough for a start, hope to keep up. Good games to everyone.
