Swings and Roundabouts

Hey, long time since last update. Started gettin stressed in life and seemed to echo in my game, took a few brutal bad beats to add to the fun so decided to take a few days off to clear my head, try and get back on the game and get my nerve back i lost a lil on some bad beats. Had a few days where seemed everytime i went in with the best hand i would get runner runnered. I never acctually went in behind in % either.

Decided to catch up with some poker after dark since i havnt really seen much of it. Saw cowboys where Gabe K won it, and also the international one with Chan winning. Daniel Negreanu is my fav player, purly cause of the way he plays, the way he reads and plain he is a nice guy.

Came back today and started with some SnG's played 3x 9 player ones getting 1st and 2x 2nd place, 3 head to heads winning 2/3 and played a 45 person one comming in 2nd. Building confidence again and will report back some interesting hands when i go through poker tracker.

I know i shouldnt be surprised but ye im at the start really of my poker career, i know i have some skill but at the same time i know there are a lot of people that can out play me. I also thought at the start that the lowest limit sit n gos would be the best place to start as its lowest risk etc. I found that the lowest limit sit n go's has some very very poor players there. I know again that shouldnt shock me but i do find it very hard to beleive some of the stupid decisions that some of them make. This is 1 such hand and an example of why i really am not keen on playing these micro stakes anymore.

Now as u can see i have AJ, its a good hand but ye it can be easily dominated (something a lot of people it seems dont understand) and if i am reraised a lot and especially if im out of position chances are i would fold it but that is straying from my point. I raised 3 times the BB and get 1 caller. Im in position and she checks to me so yes im going to make a continuation bet here. She calls and we see the turn. A jack, not the clean jack i had hoped but with 1 player in the hand expecting a flush everytime one comes on the board is stupid. She then bets the pot, the way she called on the flop and way she had played in the past i was pretty sure she didnt have the flush, a Jack was more obvious, but then what? AJ KJ ? The river shows another club so when she checks infront of me im goin to check here too. I cant really put her on a hand but i figure there isnt any point in a value bet as i could be beat. She turns 2 pair 3s and js and u just wonder why someone would call with 3J offsuit, i woud rarely call the blind with a hand like that let alone a pre flop raise. Anyway my rant is over so will post some hands later. Peace

Well i feel i played well, even tho i got here from a sat and not risking any money it still give nervous feelings. Really enjoyed it and went out 200 out of 1600 and made the money. My final hand i went in AJ vs A10 and lost when he hit the 10, ouch it hurts but these things happen.

Here are a few highlights

Flopped a Set of Jacks against AJ, so glad he hit the jack.

Hand 1

Nice straight

Hand 2

Aces, what more do u have to say

Hand 3

I had a keyboard fail on the river, meant to bet 2000 instead of 200

Hand 4

Losing hand, stings but made a lot of cash from winning the sat

Hand 5

Hey,

Doubled my money in a few days and making sure i dont blow it all moving up to quickly or whatever. Reading Chris Ferg's bankroll guide and it help a lot. Its been a strange few days, I had the worst day luck wise on sunday but managed to still make a profit from not letting myself tilt or blow money on stupid calls. Every dominating hand I had seemed to lose. I just won a sat to a 8k tourny which im really looking forward to. Will post a few hands below, i know im not playing perfectly and lots of room for improvment but overall im happy with the way im playing.

Thought i flopped the best hand here but with straight and flush possiblities i wanted to try and win it on the flop, I really was not happy about the 10 on the turn as if he was drawing a flush he just made it, or if he called with a 10 then he just made trips. A check to the river which was acctually prob the best card to come down, gave me the nuts flush and him a straight.

Looking to profit from my american airlines friends, only to crash and burn.

I was very aware that i could have been outflopped by a higher flush here but i thought chances were he had prob flopped 2 pair or maybe a straight and wanted to win it there and then as there was a possilbe flush on the board. I decided after all the time i had to call, and i feel it was a good call with the wrong result. 82% chance to win it on that flop and he hits his jack and makes a full house. So sick.

Insane hand, i know i played it well, i cant beleive the result

Hey guys,

More fun on the low limit SnG's, currently sitting on a 90% win rate at them. I prefer playing 9 person turbo games as i pretty much know without major bad luck i can get into the last 3 easy. I feel my playing has gone up a lot in such a small period of time and really enjoying being back. The last game i joined was a 90 person SnG's which i havnt joined before as they are very long. When i saw it lit up red (pro has signed up) then I thought i would give it a shot. I dont know the pro, a german called Sascha Biorac. Anyway, I took him out on a hand and suddently i get told that i get my money back for "busting a pro" and instantly msn tells me that Full tilt have emailed me. I look and i appantly win a free t shirt for busting a pro. Its rly late so will post some more hands tomorrow.

Hey,

Well I got big into poker about a year ago and found that a few games with my uni mates didnt satisfy my thurst for the game so i found online and started playing Full Tilt. I have been off it a few months with real life issues on my back but am now back into the game so i wanted to make a blog where i can show a few of my hands mainly for me to look back over and see how i played badly or well. Playing low limit SnGs atm and up about $20 after about 8 games.

Quads

Making massive drawing hand on the flop, open ended straight and flush draws. Got called a donk for the move but I feel it was the best move i could make being short stacked and needing to doulbe up.
