Had a good workout this morning on the bowflex.... really enjoying the equipment. and being able to workout at home and not have to go to a gym is pretty great.
Just played a session of 696 hands of NL25 6max while 6-8 tabling. Won $31.30 at 9 ptbb/100, which is not bad, but should've been a bit higher if not for one hand I felt I misplayed.

So in this hand, BTN was a 24/20 type player I think, and was fairly aggressive on the flop and turn. I prob should've 3bet this preflop, that was my biggest mistake. I had some stupid thinking at the time that I could gain value from lower pairs, etc. etc. But yah that's just dumb thinking. I'm way ahead of his range, gotta 3bet preflop.
Overcard on flop sucks, but obv c/c is fine. At the time I didn't realize it, but it completes 35 for the straight. All I could think about at the time was that his bet was not close to pot sized, which led me to assume he had a AK/AQ type hand a lot of the time that was trying to double barrel, plus his turn agg. was decently high. The problem was that I had no history with the player, so I really wasn't so sure about their frequencing of double barreling if they sensed weakness. My hand looks a lot like a weak Jx, but more often, some flush draw or smtg. So when I check/call the turn, I think I kinda have to check/call the river blank.
In retrospect, I should've just c/folded the turn without a strong read. FPS is just dumb at NL25 to be honest, and I'm slowly trying to deal with that. I think that was my only case of it today, and I think if I play regularly more, I'll do it lots and lots less. But beyond that one hand, I feel like I played pretty correctly in everything else.

Well this hand sucked lol. Early on in the session, I had no stats on the player (turns out he was a 12/10 nit). His 3bet was so smallish, that I figured I had good odds to try and hit my set. Also, usually bad players 3bet small to try and get you to call, which made me think more and more he had a big pair, which is more reason to call. Flop and turn are standard, and well, lost as a 95% fav. on the turn. That's poker.

Villain berated me after the hand for my play, but as I'll explain, I def. think his play is mediocre to marginal post-flop. Normally I fold this preflop, but villain was like 18/9, which polarizes his 3bet range to JJ+/AK type hands most of the time. Knowing this, I feel like I can call preflop profitably and play him perfectly post-flop. Plus his 3bet size is too small, even more reason to call.
Flop is gin, and I raise 3xish instead of pot sized for several reasons. Being a nit, he's going to believe I am calling preflop a ton with medium pocket pairs which hit this board hard, and this is how I'd exactly play 88 or 77 most of the time. So I have great fold equity always against AKo, and sometimes against JJ-AA who will give up because my play looks so strong. based on preflop and post-flop, my range is either a big combo draw or a set. Against that range, his QQ is either flipping or crushed,.. that being said we had no history, so i don't think i can blame him too much for shoving. The only hand I'm worried about is AKs, but that's only one combination in his range, so Im' happy raising and calling a shove, where normally I am prob. a flip.

Nothing else to say besides thank you for the moneyzzz

This was my favourite hand of the session. Villain was like a 17/14 player, no history. When he flat calls pf, I am pretty sure he never has QQ/KK/AA here. And his most likely holding is some small to medium pocket pair.
Flop comes 333, which makes me 99.99% sure I have the best hand. When he calls the flop, pretty sure he has some pocket pair. On the turn 55 beats me, but I'm still way ahead of all other pocket pairs, so betting is fine. On the river, he checkd very quickly. I really think for most people, a quick check is a marginal hand. Plus, I felt like I could keep representing whiffed overcards by shoving the river to look like a bluff, and get his TT or 99 to call...... and it worked, except he had 66 loolool
Anyways, got some work I need to do today...... glad to finally make money again (lol omahaments). I hate hovering around NL25 for like 6 months or w/e when I am confident I could be beating NL50........
