Sometimes you just gotta run good...

0

Unfortunately, I didn't tonight. I turn 20 tomorrow, and well, was hoping to get luck on my side the last night I am 19.... but haha no, I ran sick bad. Over 410 hands, I lost $83.15 running at -40 ptbb/100 hands. To be fair, I ran $91 below expectation in all in pots.

The 2 big hands I lost (and the only 2 all in's for 100bb+ that I lost), it was AAxx vs AAxx, against the SAME 72/10 fish opponent all in preflop. I had slightly better equity in both hands, but managed to lose both (even though we tie, like what, 99% of the time?) Ugh. After losing hte first one, I thought I deserved to wint he 2nd one, but nope, I lose that one too! Here they are:

Oh wait, I lost another 100bb pot, as a 2:1 preflop, and 60/40 on the flop. His check/raise all in is just horrendous, he might as well shove the flop for some fold equity, not check raise all in with bottom pair against an obv AAxx lol.

I also lose 80bb in this hand where I am a 78% fav on the flop. Standard for how my day was I guess =/

I'm not sure hwo I feel about this hadn thoguh. I don't normally 3bet this preflop, but I was playing very tight as usual, and thought I could represent AAxx and steal A high flops, while say crushing them when I do hit a good flop, and they dont' realize it cuz they put me on AAxx. I know UTG was never folding preflop, because he was a 75/35 maniac or something, but his range is so weak, that i'm not afraid to play him in a 3bet pot and get it in wiht great equity. When the SB 4bets, it's obvious to me he has a weakish AAxx, like say no suits, or one suit with weak side cards. I think calling his 4bet is standard, as I have 44% equity against random AAxx, and can call any non A flop where I have a pair, with still 40% equity, or crush him in pots where I flop 2 pair, flop + fd, etc. etc.

Anyways, going to celebrate my bday tomorrow with some friends, definitely looking forward to that - oh , and hope I run better this weekend, i mean heck, it's my birthday!
