HELP!!! --AGAIN

Blog by : BCheezy
0

So 50NL has sucked so far. Combo of me playing bad and just getting killed by the doom switch that was turned on apparently. So I got frustrated last night, and took all my roll off of stars, approx. $1200. Well I left like $300 on there to donk off at 5/10 or something. Looking for a new site. After seeing how much I pay in rake, I need to get this rakeback thing going and I just want a new look to play at.

Suggestions???

I would like to be able to use PokerTracker and PokerAce, get rakeback, and get a signup bonus. What site should I use for Rakeback? Being that I only have played on stars, I am a rakeback noob. Pathetic I know.

Oh Punta Cana was good. Got a little sick being that the water they use to cook, clean, and make drinks gets you feeling not so hot. Gotta love vacationing in third world countrys!!! I will post some pics later.

Thanks and HELP!

Poker going ok...

Blog by : BCheezy

50NL has not been going well but not horrible either. I am down three buyins in the 6 max games and up 1 buyin in the 50NL HU games. Meh. Only 5,000 hands.

Oh! I played at the "charity" poker room at a local sports bar last night. LOL live poker. Its 1-2 with a $100 max buy! HA! Whenever you walk in there to put your name on the list, its like everyone looks at you sizing you up. The way people act is hilarious. Guys with hoods and sunglasses on, listening to Ipods...I mean come on! I had an old guy at my table calling another old guy a donkey and a bad player when he played like complete doo doo himself. At first I thought there was a $2 ante on the game the way everyone was limping! I had one guy limp in EP, and I make it 20 to go from the BB. This guy sits there and thinks about what to do with only like $35 left if he made the call. WTF? Why limp and think about calling $18 more OOP???

One interesting hand-Sorta!

I get 10-7 off in the BB

limped 5 ways to me....I check my option.

Flop: 4-7-6 rainbow Pot = $10

I bet out 8 get one caller

Turn: K

Check CHeck I check mainly for pot control and to see if he would fire.

River: A Pot = $26

I check he fires $26 super duper donkey fast!

I take 5 seconds, say that makes no sense and call and take it down. He flips up 8-9 OBV!!!

Everyone at the table thought I was a station for doing that! LOL!!! WTF could this guy have that he calls a bet preflop on a rainbow board, check the turn and insta bets pot on the river. Nobody even close to understood what I was thinking in the hand, and why even try to explain how I knew exactly what this dude had. I mean what is this guy trying to rep besides exactly what he had???...a missed straight draw! Everyone just loooks at there cards only!!! its so funny!

Some guy threatend to go all in on me when I repopped JJ preflop to $27 and he had like $65 total!!! WTF??? you think i care or that I am really going to fold??!!! Remember I may play micro stakes online, but I am rolled in life! I have a real JOB buddy! I'm not trying to get lucky and double up my part time job paycheck and make a living at 1-2. It is such a fun time. My buddies and I just have a blast laughing and joking at all the I watch poker on TV guys!

Ended the night plus $120 in like two hours...Not bad.

Sorry for the ramble but I have to get all that bad energy from those live donks off my chest!!!

Thanks

50NL

Blog by : BCheezy

Thanks for the information on BR and moving up! So far things have not gone as planned. I can't complain as I am even for the month after about 4500 hands but this stuff is bound to happen. Last month I don't think I had a losing session at 25NL so I was just waiting. Why do I have to run bad when I just moved up! sigh...

WELCOME TO 50NL. MAN THE PLAYERS ARE TOUGH!!! LOL!!! I mean WTF??? Did this guy think or could he not get his mouse to move off the call button??? Man this should add to my bottom line nicely in the long run.

www.pokerhand.org/

This is a gem. Now this guy was doing some weird stuff but I probably should have folded the river. I mean I watched him do some things that just made me shake my head and go wtf? but now that I look at it, he wasnt that aggro so I should have folded to the river bet but come on! He would have called down without the second 6.

www.pokerhand.org/

I over shoved the flop to this shorty cuz I wanted to get the money in agaisnt A-10, 10-J, or maybe even J-J. What a pre flop call OOP, and he insta snap called me on the flop. Nothing but a naked straight draw on a paired board with a flush draw, not his sooooott!!! oh and I had the second nut club draw on the turn but he still got there. AAAHHHHh well...

http://www.pokerhand.org/?2242563

So with that, I have won some decent pots with some hands that have held up, and found myself back at even for the month. I am trying to play more aggro preflop as I think its better at this level. Not really any harder though. I see more scared money however... lol.

One thing I am having trouble with is when to make moves and hand ranges. People call with the weirdest things, and bet the weirdest amounts. I have found the min bet you can generally raise and they will fold but have been proven wrong a few times. Basically 50NL has left me shaking my head and LOLing and WTFing alot. I mean perfect example: The first hand above the guy called a raise with 5-2 off. Well he was like the typical 80/5/1. He folded the next hand. If you call with 5-2 off, what are you folding??? must be the jokers.

Help with hand ranges and bet patterns at this level would be great! Thanks!

HELP!!! -BR question

Blog by : BCheezy
0

So even though poker is a hobby, I still want to adhere to the bankroll requirments and general rules of of what a decent poker player would (Part of the hobby I think). Here are the numbers:

Starting BR $550

Cash outs: $300

Current BR $1,600 and change

Total $ Won at 25NL $1,600+

NOTE: I lost some cash shortying some bigger games, and playing PLO.

This has been done in just over 51,000 hands. My biggest downswing was 10 buyins and I am currently beating the 25NL game for just over 6ptbb/100. I never play more than 6 tables, and I probably have a average of 5. (low stakes games break down very fast!!!) I am getting bored at the limit and would like to move up to 50NL. I believe the skill level is close to the same with maybe a few more "thinking" players. I would also like to start playing some 50NL HU although I would not make that my primary game.

Can I move up? Do I even have enough to play 50NL HU??? I stand at about 32 buyins.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT!!!

Thanks and GL

February Results

Blog by : BCheezy

Didnt play a lot of hands this month, but thats how it goes when its just a hobby. I love how some blogs will say "played a decent session today" and it like 6K hands. LOL. But anyway things have been going well. I probably will try to play more early this month since I am going to Punta Cana on the 16th. Pretty funny to say that I have made enough money at 25NL in a little over 50K hands to pay for an 8 night trip! HA! Oh and yeah yeah I know...I'm a donk but it gets the job done at these limits.

Some Hands...

Blog by : BCheezy
0

Thought I would post some interesting hands from the week...

WTF??? ummm Thank you? And CTS thinks he gets no respect and called down light! I thought we were splitting or he at least hand the J!!!

www.pokerhand.org/

Here is what I think is a good example of aggression paying off. This guy was totally frustrated with me. He limp caled my PF Iso like three times and then would check fold the flop. Bad time to play back. I knew he was weak. He doesnt do this preflop with AA AK or KK, maybe Q-10 or raggy flush draw but I knew he was getting fed up I think this hand illistrates what verneer was saying about bet what it takes to get the job done. I obv over bet shoved here...HE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH ME at the time and I didnt want to see alot of turn cards so overbet shoving works well in this spt

www.pokerhand.org/

This is a fun one! Do you play it any different??? I know I guess the limp preflop was bad but one hell of a flop! That was one hand that hand me a little bit of a dog though!

I will post February results this weekend

Killin it...

Blog by : BCheezy

Played a short session of 25NL tonight and seemed to kill the games. I also ran well and got called down super light from players frustrated by my aggression. I am really working on value betting and trusting my gut and reads. Feedback I have gotten is to up my aggression. While I still think less aggression works well at these stakes, I know I need to increase my AF on all streets. I feel I did that well tonight.

I also played a short session of 50NL the other day and played horrible but managed to sneak a small win after running AK in AA AIPF against an unknown. Yeah yeah...Stupid I know

Killin it..Beating the 25NL for 13.24 ptbb/100 this month so far!!!

Blog by : BCheezy

Just had to say that giving Phil Ivey money is not helping the poker community, meaning I don't think he will spew much of it back. Saw him leave his Heads Up NL table with $800,000+!!! WOW!!! I mean I don't know if he reloaded at any time but hope this Seda guy that lost it has a good support network at home...or still has a home!!! Must be a baller, can't imagine someone went on complete life tilt...
