So I am going to do something that I should have done a long time ago but I somehow luckboxed my way into a second place finish in the Bodog Poker Open, I am going to go down to 2-4 NL and figure out the leaks in my game.

Unlike past blogs I am not going to sit here and say how bad I am running and how unlucky of a person I am. I have been very fortunate to last this long without really hitting a serious cold run. I have a pretty good plan about how I am going to handle everything and I hope it works out well.

I really think that 2-4 NL is a great place to figure out my game. I havent took the 2-4 NL game seriously in some time so I am sure there is going to be an adjustment period. Overall, I am going to try and put in a good 50k hands in at 2-4 and hopefully make some good money. I will keep everyone updated on my progress and my stats. Wish me luck.

Well first off I really have been the most lazy person ever when it comes to blogging lately (well not ever), but I would say that I think me and Latestlines2 "take the cake" when it comes to lazy blogging! I always look at my blog and say well I think I am going to blog today, type a sentence and go well...Im tired I will do this tomorrow. I probably couldnt be any worse than Latestlines2 though who has successfully made one blog post this month. Either way...IM BACK

So a couple random thoughts about poker, about life, and then about this fishy Cardrunners thing...

First off, college has been really fun of late. I think I am doing a great job in regards to going out on the town with my poker life. I continue to go to Harpos every Thursday night which is my standard blackout night. I am taking Goldslagger shots of late which has def added a bit more of a blackout. After Harpos I head to the local diner and have the most amazing drunk meal ever. Its called MATTS DILEMMA, it is hashbrowns with eggs, chile, onions, green peppers, sausage gravy and bacon on top. It may sound disgusting but my god is it good! On the weekends, I head back to St. Louis to see the girlfriend and go house shopping. It really is insane on how stupid people are nowadays in the real estate market. I probably look at 20 overpriced houses a day in St. Louis. If people are searching for an answer for this Real Estate downfall, look at how much people are asking for a standard house nowadays, its disgusting! I can not wait for this process to be over!

Poker has been rough of late. I would say that my recent downswing would be related to bad play and running bad. I find myself missing almost every draw I have. I also find myself getting called down by every possible hand when I am bluffing, it doesnt matter if it is top pair, second pair, or ace high...Whatever, I will hopefully heat up and go on a 25k+ run before Vegassss..

In regards to that, I leave for Vegas on June 10th. I can not wait to reunite all of the idiots from last summer. All I am saying is that I hope Taylor still acts as if he is our father, muddy still blacks out like a gentleman, brian keeps being extremely angry, and Latestlines2 keeps on going to male strip clubs by himself.

So about this fishy Cardrunners thing, I am really frustrated about my placement on this featured blog page. I was recently passed by Caroline. I think that this whole blog reading thing is rigged. Caroline doesnt surprise me that much since she is a good looking girl and I know the Cardrunners community probably checks all of her blogs for pictures of her but I mean seriously if I fall below 25 I am taking this blog back to myspace! So if there is some fishy business going on muddybuttwater, it better stop ASAP!

Anyway, I have a big test week coming up! ONLY 3 more WEEKS AND DRAMA IS OUT OF HERE! God how exciting but depressing at the same time! I am expecting Taylor, Trousers, and LL to visit me for graduation but they dont know this yet. Everyone is invited though, HARPOS PARRTYTY...

Hello everyone...

Coming back from Disney has made me realize that I am no longer on vacation anymore! There is so much to do in so little time. I am scheduled to graduate on May 17 and up until then I am going to be really busy.

First off, I am in the midst of this whole house buying process. I was not successful with my first attempt but there are so many houses out there. The problem that I am having right now is that I live in Columbia Missouri so I am finding myself coming back to STL to try and find a house. When I am in STL, I love just relaxing and hanging out with the GF so not very much house searching gets done. Hopefully something will fall into my lap and I can get this taken care of before I leave for Vegas on June 9.

It is insane to think that on May 17, my schooling will be over. I have 4 more classes that I need to complete so hang on to your hats. Other than a few tests, some smaller assignments, and a big paper I am basically already done with school but there is so much smaller stuff to do before graduation day.

Like I said earlier, I am departing for the WSOP on June 9 so before then, I need to make some cash! I havent had very good luck since returning from disney but thats poker. I think that I am going to stop playing 10-20 NL for awhile. I need to concentrate more on making money and when your not running well, the swings are brutal and I cant afford those types of swings with all of these bills coming up.

I had an amazing time down in Disney World. I seriously used to rip LatestLines about going to Disney all the time but I may be a frequent tourist there now as well. There is soooo much to do and you can drink everywhere you go! I got to meet up with LatestLines 2 down there, this is basically how my week went...

Day 1 (Tuesday)--Got into Disney and took a bus to our resort. Disney is so cool about everything, they get your bags for you at baggage claim and deliver them to your hotel room so basically all you do is get on a bus at the airport and go to your hotel and relax. We stayed at the Disney Beach Resort and I must say it was AWESOME. The view from our balcony was amazing! My girlfriend and I decided to take a nap before dinner since we were exhausted from the travel that day and ended up sleeping thru our reservations so we ended up just taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom where we rode Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean--all were my childhood favorite rides. We got back to the hotel around 2 am and still didnt eat so we ordered some Room Service

Day 2-- We woke up around 11 and headed down to the pool. We couldnt find anywhere to lay out so we ended up grabbing some lunch at the poolside bar. We then just went to our private beach and layed out for awhile. Afterwards we decided to check out the Boardwalk which was really cool. It basically was a bunch of stores and bars. That night we headed over to Hollywood Studies. We had a good dinner at Hollywood Vine and then watched the Indiana Jones stunt show so our food would settle. After that we rode on the Aerosmith roller coaster ride and the Tower of Terror. Both were AWESOME! The Aersomith ride went 0 to 60 in 3 seconds and the Tower of Terror was an elevator that dropped 13 stories. We ended up taking a boat back to our hotel which was really "romantic" haha!

Day 3--We decided to rent a car and head down to St. Petes Beach. It was about an hour and half drive. We got in around 1 and had some cocktails at the local tiki bar. We layed our again till about 6 and then headed over to an amazing restaurant called the Hurricane. We got to see an amazing sunset and then headed back soon after. We got back to Orlando around 11 pm and just went to bed because it had been a long day.

Day 4--We woke up early and went to the Animal Kingdom. This was an amazing day. We got to go on an African Safari, got to ride on the Yetti roller coaster which went forward and backwards, and an African river ride. Animal Kingdom was broke up into two countries Africa and Asia. It was good to see a lot of Denny Lemeiux's relatives in Africa and my buddy Josh's relatives in Asia. That night we had the honor of meeting up with Mr.Disney (Latestlines2). We had dinner at a Japaneese restaurant in Epcot with LL and then headed to a Piano Bar on the Boardwalk. They pulled my girlfriend on stage and embarassed her so that made my night. Afterwards, we headed to the Magic Kingdom because it was open to 3am. We were pretty intoxicated so it was a blast. We saw some 3D show which was cool and rode Splash Mountain.

Day 5--We were pretty tired and hungover so we ended up sleeping till about 1. My girlfriend and I went over to Epcot to walk around. We then took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom to go shopping for the family. We had Cirque tickets in Downtown Disney at 9PM so we were kind of in a hurry. We got there on time and it was a pretty good show. We then met up with LL2 again and went to dinner at Planet Hollywood. After dinner, we went to a couple clubs. The first was a 70's dance club which played some old school music and the second club had a spinning dance floor, I busted a couple moves and watched LL2 and my girlfriend take a sambuka shot UK!!! I vowed never to take another in Aruba 2 years ago and I stuck to my word.

Day 6-- We surprising woke up on time for our flights which was nice. We purchased First Class tickets for this trip which may have been my best investment ever. I loved the room that first class gives you!

Other than Disney, I have been house searching. I put an offer down on my first house, it didn't go over as planned but the market is sooooo GOOD so I am in a way happy I didn't get it. I really am going to look around for the house that fits me perfect in relation to finances and convenience.

I took the past week or so off of poker, I put a couple hours of play in the other day with no success. Since the tourney, I have been struggling but I just look at it as my post tourney slump. I dont believe I am playing bad so I just need to keep putting in good sessions. Well this blog is way to long in my eyes so I will talk to you gents and ladies lata. Peace

Yes that is right, I am going to Disneyworld for the week! I really couldnt think of a better way to get away and have a relaxing vacation! Disneyworld will not only make me feel like a kid again but it will also let me catch up with my old pal Latestlines2 who will be taking his seasonal visit to Disneyworld. I definently plan on taking multiple pictures with the characters so maybe for the first time since my blog came out, I will put a few pictures in it.

Like I said, I put poker on the back burner since my spring break began on Thursday. I might have played an hour or 2 yesterday and had some good success, probably profitting 3k. I also made 100 dollars off the legend Denny Lemiuex due to my ability to sports bet like a legend.

In other news, I am in the midst of buying my first house. No offers have been made but I did get to view a few of them and I definently have my eye on a couple, I guess in a way its time for me to grow up a little bit and take on some adult responsibility, we will see how that goes.

Well I am about done with packing and the laptop is getting put in the bag. I will try and give some updates on Disney World while I am down there but between the parades, the light shows, the fireworks, splash mountain, space mountain, the pirates of the carribean ride, and the tower of terror I am going to be pretty busy!

Hello everyone!

This week is a week from HELL, well not literally but I HATE SCHOOL! I am not able to play poker that much because of all the school work that I have to do. I really have come to the conclusion that school work and poker don't mix very well. It seems that if I win playing poker, I dont want to quit and study but if I am losing playing poker, I dont want to study either! So I just have come to the conclusion over the past 6 months that when I have a big school week ahead, poker gets put on hold! So thats what this week is!

I was able to put in a few hours of poker yesterday though. I pretty much broke even. I am gettin murdered on my "NEW AMAZING SITE." It seems the secret is out and the games have gotten harder! BOOOOOO! I hate people who ruin good things! Anyway, Bodog went well and I won about 4k. I really have come to enjoy the 4k profit days. I used to be like well ya I ran okay, I won 4k. When you start losing 12k a day, a 4k day looks PRETTY NICE!

Anywho, I took my test yesterday in Intimate Relationships. I dont know how I did yet but for as much as I studied, I really should consider Sex Therapy as an occupation. The test are so detailed, its like I am acting like a psychologist for this professor. We will see how that went. I have a Psychology test tomorrow on Neurons, not looking forward to that! I just get so distracted when I study! I think poker has given me a serious case of ADD. Then comes my Thursday, ummmm I have a 7 page paper due that I havent started!! Can you say aderol time?? I am seriously gonna pop like 30 mg's and whip that big guy out tomorrow night! Its gonna be nasty!

Now it comes to vacation. I am heading back to St. Louis as soon as I turn in my paper on Thursday. I will probably have a relaxing night because I have to go house shopping on Friday. That should be fun! I will save my drinking for Friday and Saturday before leaving for...............on Tuesday. I can't type where I am going in this blog because it is a surprise vacation for my girlfriend and I am pretty sure she reads this thing so I will tell you guys after I inform her.

Hello Again!

What a great weekend it was down here at Mizzou. Starting from my Thursday night ritual at Harpos which consisted of multiple amounts of shots and ending on Saturday where I was drinking Goose and Waters like a gentleman, I had an amazing time! My girlfriend came down for Friday and Saturday night. Friday night was a relaxing night where Sushi was on the agenda. We got it from this place called Sake and it was AWESOME. On Saturday, we grabbed some appetizers and drinks at this restaurant called Addisons. The food there is really good and the bartender always makes a nice stiff vodka water so I love it!

As for this upcoming week, I am SLAMMED with school work. I have 2 test and a 7 page paper I need to write. The first test is tomorrow in Intimate Relationships. I mean the class sounded easy when I signed up for it. I mean how hard could learning about Relationships really be?? Well it seems to be pretty hard since I got a "C" on my first test! We will see how tomorrow goes. Then on Wednesday I have a Psychology test which is not looking to be very easy and then I have a 7 page paper on Buddhism due!

I am going to try and put in some good hours of poker this week as well before I leave on Spring Break but we will have to see how that goes. Well I am exhausted and still need to study! I will update date this more tomorrow! Adios Gentlemen

First off I want to thank everyone who gave me a shout of congratulations after coming in 2nd in the Bodog tourney. It really was an amazing experience and I appreciate everyone who supported me. Thanx again!

Secondly, I would like to throw out a congratulations of my own to the cardrunners pros! It really is amazing the strides that Cardrunners has made over the years. I mean for one, they somehow lured me into blogging here and now they are FTP pros. I am still going to work on them getting my name put in red on FTP but well that may be a long time down the road. (Just giving you something to think about Taylor) But seriously, that is awesome that they have now become so big and I am honored to know them, it could not happen to a greater bunch of guys! They have been there for me since I saw Muddytrousers and Mr Green Plastic getting wasted off Aruba Aribas three years ago at the Ultimate Bet Classic! Wow where has the time gone?!?

Thirdly, I guess I will talk a little poker! Things on Bodog have been going pretty well since the tourney score! I am running pretty well and I am up a little more than 4k. It has been nice to receive some congratulations from some of the Bodog regulars who I believed to hate me haha but they have been really cool and I definently appreciate that. As much sh*t as I give them, I do respect a lot of them but def not all haha! As far as my mystery site goes, I am not running very well. Since the tourney I am probably stuck close to 12k. Which isnt a biggie, just a standard swing. I have been dabbling a lot with 10-20 and 25-50 on that site just to see where my game is at. I have had some tough luck, like tonite at 25-50 NL. I re raised the button with KK and the BB cold called while the button folded. The flop came down 9-7-6, I checked to induce action and the guy fired out 950,I made it 2400 and he shoved. I thought about it for awhile and def thought 10's, JJ, and QQ could all be in his range here. He showed 999 and it was good game me for an 11k pot . I had a couple other instances when I played bad but overall it just hasn't been a pretty site. Thats okay though, I am just going to keep grinding it out and keep working my way up to the level I want to be at.

Other than that, I am going to keep racking up some rakeback and hopefully book some big scores before my spring break begins. I dont know how much poker I am going to be able to get in these next couple weeks because of exam week and spring break but we will see. Drama

For as long as I can remember I have been trying to get my big score in an online poker tournament. Its not about the money because I feel that a cash game is where the money is for me but it is about the pride. Last night I made it thru a field of 600 to take down 46k and second place in the Bodog Poker Open. It really is an amazing feeling that I have never gotten before. This was definently the biggest score in one day of poker I have ever had. I have had amazing cash game days but for the stakes I play, the best days I have had range from 17k to 23k but never 46K!!! I am really pumped up and it really is starting to hit me.

In a way, I am very disappointed that I did not win it all but that would be very selfish of me to stay. The tournament had so many ups and downs but I just stuck with it and never gave up, I really was in the zone and would not let anything faze me. The final table was extremely tough. It got down to me, phatcat, zpaceman, and waccokid. I have heard all of these guys in tournament talk so it was nice to beat 2 of them out but I just couldn't beat out phatcat to take it down. I would love to give a shout out to a couple of my Bodog buddies that were watching and giving me support....Squintandgo, Santtogold, Linecrusher, SheehanMatt, and even Solow. It really was cool to hear people giving you support and not bickering about how you just put a 2 outer on them, so thank you guys.

As for now, I really don't plan on this tournament changing me much. I am not going to be one of those guys who is like well since I won 46k, I am on a 46k freeroll. I am going to continue to grow and get my game in place so I can make a run at this years WSOP. I am about to head back to college town after my weekend in St. Louis, Talk to everyone soon and thanx again!

Drama

Like I informed everyone in my last blog, I planned on putting in a really good session of poker today after my test. For starters, my test went awful. I should have studied more but I honestly thought the test was going to be very easy. It ended up being kind of confusing so we will see how that went. Poker, on the other hand, went very well today.

I put two different sessions in of poker today. In my first session, it was Bodog who made me happy and in my second session it was my other site that made me happy. I am still not going to tell anyone about my other site, I love it sooo very much and dont want anyone else playing on it. I think overall today I made 2k on Bodog and 8k on my other site. I really hope to keep this hot run of cards going.

I am still not running how I would like on Bodog. I am still a little swingy but I think I am coming into my own and developing a new style of poker. My poker tracker has been down the past couple of days so I am not able to inform everyone about what my stats have been but I believe them to be pretty good. I think my main thing is that I need to really watch my playing of suited connectors. I dont know why but I just LOVE them but I am fastly learning my lesson.

Unfortunently, I was not able to make my first video today but I have everything set up now so I will be making my first Cardrunners video pretty soon. I dont know how much poker playing I will get in these next few days. Tomorrow is my standard Thursday night and on Friday I am heading back to St. Louis to attend my good buddies girlfriends party bus. I am probably going to play in the Bodog tourney on Sunday. I think it is a 470 dollar buy in which is far and beyond the biggest tournament they have ever had so I want to be part of that. That is all for now. Gl Everyone
