Effective immediately, CardRunners has decided to part ways with Haseeb Qureshi. While Haseeb is a talented instructor, he has shown poor judgement in using a stakee's poker account for his own play. We've informed Haseeb of this decision and it is final.

Celt81, appreciate the explanation. I think i took what you said the wrong way so i apologise for the name calling, i was really upset at the time and shouldn\'t have made the post when in that frame of mind..
Again @ mickman\r\n\r\nI don\'t know if my spell check will pick up chip dumping?\r\n\r\nIt does however seem that it is at least strike 2 against your friend Haseeb. No matter how good a player or coach its now pretty much confirmed the guy is a cheat and doesn\'t belong in any poker related company.\r\n\r\nLove always, \r\n\r\nJumped up little prick. xoxo.
@ mickman\r\nMy post wasn\'t a personal attack on Haseeb, I don’t certainly wasn\'t congratulating CR for firing Haseeb. I\'m simply saying that this was the only option available to CR if they want to maintain a reputation as a leader in the poker industry. \r\n\r\nAs far as logging on to another persons account. You\'re correct I have never played on anyones account but my own. Also the difference between an unknown such as myself multi-accounting and a well known player such as Haseeb is huge. \r\n\r\nWhat would happen to a professional sports player (and there club for that matter) who dropped from say NFL to play in some semi-pro league to play and used another team players name for a few games because he couldn\'t currently register for the club. I would put my roll on the fact that the player would receive a punishment and the club would receive more. \r\n\r\nI have no personal views on Hasseb himself, I don\'t know if he is a great guy or an AH. I don\'t know if borrowing his friends account was a lapse in his better judgment or a small part of something more sinister. If just a lapse in judgment then I feel sorry for the guy but it does not change my stand point that with the shit going on in this industry right now the less blips on the radar of professionals found bending or breaking the rules of the game the better it will be for every one. \r\n\r\nI say it again. Well done CR for having the balls to make a stand and show that cheating (which is exactly what has occurred, even if not intended to be malicious) no matter how small, will not be tollerated within their organisation..
Hey Celt 81, i don\'t know what you do for a job but you sound like a jumped up little prick. Hooray CR well done for firing Haseeb, it needed to be done in this climate as you say we are in termoil. Please tell me mofo, have you or anyone you know ever been at a friends house, having a few drinks and maybe played a sit and go on your friends computer under his name ?. Probably not because you seem like a total cock, the way you patronise every comment that was made with regards to Haseeb Qureshi. A lot People on the site though he was a fantastic instructor and to thank CR for sacking him proves what a penis you are. As for the EV you say that was lost in the session, well that really is a damn shame and unfortunately the villians at the table will NEVER EVER get that back, and i am extremely sad about that. What you said is probably the most infuiriating bullshit i have ever read in my life. I would suggest that in every member/instructor of the CR community, around 90% has played at least 1 time on another account and thought nothing of it, beacause it\'s not that bid a deal. I love that bit at the end of your piece when you say, again well done CR. I think Haseeb was one of the best contributors to the site, his videos were excellent and his blogs were really special. He spent time and thought putting that writing out for all of us. So for you getting the party poppers out for the sacking of him is an utter disgrace. You actually do it twice in your piece, in between patronising all the positive things people had to say about him. That\'s all i have to say to you reallly, i\'m sure we will speak soon, after you have spell-checked my work..
I\'m boycotting. Seriously, Cardrunners has nothing to offer me know that their best blogger and best instructor is gone..
We\'ll done CR. \r\n\r\nA strong stance on cheating in any form is required from companies that are looked up too in an industry currently in termoil. Anything other than an immediate dismissal would present a grey area in what CR considders cheating. \r\n\r\nUsing a false identity in any other business would result in compensation payouts and possibly gaol time. So to pass it off as a minor offence and just issue a slap on the wrist would have been the wrong thing to do. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFor the guys who think Haseeb has been hard done by, try and draw a line in the sand where you can say \"borrowing\" and account for a session or two, become multi-accounting. Also does the fact Hasseb didn\'t make any cash during these sessions change things, definately not, EV is the core of what poker play is about. By borrowing an account you are effectively robbing EV from an apponent who thinks you are someone else.\r\n\r\nIn an industry that is has always stigma attached to it. The only option is to keep your own basement squeeky clean.\r\n\r\nAgain. \r\n\r\nWell done CR..
This is not the first nor the worst scandal faced by a cr pro, but clearly internet pokers was not a close buddy of the site\'s founders. \nStill a commendable move by cardrunners, if they can manages to keep some sort of moral standard going forward. Haseeb\'s videos were undoubtedly some of the best, but his actions add to the growing disappointment I feel towards a lot of the poker world..
Hasty move IMO.
in earlier videos on cardrunners cole south plays using his friend\'s account because he \"doesn\'t want others to know it\'s him\". talk about double standards...not that i think it\'s cheating though.
CR firing makes me think that haseeb is more guilty than we know. That may not be fair to him.. Ive read his blogs and such and really feel like hes just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Definitely disappointing that cheaters like townsend and hastings keep their jobs and haseeb is getting the boot. He is def a top 3 poker instructor on this site if not the best..
I think it\'s a poor decision by CR too. In light of recent history (Jason Ho, Stoxtrader, Isildur\'s 4.2 million loss), it makes business sense to be intransigent with your ethical standards in order to preserve your brand image. That said, I think firing Haseeb is disproportionate and hasty. If Brian Townsend can remain a coach for a while after multiaccounting and Brian Hastings can still run Cardrunners after confessing to violating FT\'s terms and conditions (for nothing less than by far the biggest winning session in history), there\'s no reason to fire Haseeb for a minor mistake. A warning by CR / public apology by Haseeb is enough IMO. \n\nI should also add that this is a training site and people pay to improve. Whoever has watched 10 minutes of Haseeb\'s videos is a much better player now. Fwiw, the absolutely AMAZING quality of his videos should speak in his favor and inspire clemency IMO. I think he was by far the best regular HU coach on CR and even though you have decided to fire him, removing his videos from CR would be a horrible mistake, if you ever considered it. \n\n@CR management: what do standard contracts that coaches sign stipulate as regards unethical behavior?.
I would have like him to stay to. People make mistakes, I think a lot of the big CR pro\'s can attest to this..
It was of course unethical of Haseeb to use another account, i just don\'t think it meant he had to leave. It was only one short session to which his profit was zero. Now if he illegaly fucked someone out of $4.2 million then i would agree that he should be fired..
When the best player on a football team makes a poor error of judgement does he get fired ? Does he fuck. You give the guy a slap on the wrist, tell him it can\'t happen again etc. I think this is a bad call by Card Runners, Yes business is business, the show must go on, noone is bigger than the company and all that cliched nonsense but i think it leaves a void that is extremely difficult to fill. I\'m sure if you had a vote through members of who wanted him to go or stay that it would of been a landslide for him staying..
Well done cardrunners.
DogIsHead?? more like DogisDead.
wow massive shame hasseb was without a doubt one of the best instructors on this or any site and cardrunners is a poor site as a result.\n\ngl in the future hasseb hope to see you bloging and making vids again soon \n\n-Dan.
NH brown man.
