Congratulations to Jonathon "Nikachu" Zaczek, winner of the inaugural CardRunners Video Challenge. Along with the $5,000 Grand Prize, Zaczek has also signed as a new video instructor at CardRunners.
Polls were open for two weeks and voting was very close. Fewer than 30 votes separated the top 3 finishers of our contest.
Final standings of the Video Challenge are:
1st Place - $5,000 - Jonathon "Nikachu" Zaczek
2nd Place - $2,500 - Matthew Janda
3rd Place - $1,000 - Lee Przytula
4th Place - $500 - Bryce Paradis
5th Place - Chip Set ($175 value) - Johan "Roundkick" Ryning
Thank you for all who participated and please keep an eye out for future contests at CardRunners.

I think that next time around if they do a competition like this the rules and methodology of determining the winner should be outlined a little more clearly ahead of time with maybe some changes. Instructors or No Instructors specified, how the winner(s) are actually chosen (maybe make it a rating system for each video or rate the final 5 in order from 1 to 5 with each rank given a different amount of points, etc, there are plenty of other methods), and maybe make the length requirement a little shorter (though I did notice at least 1 video was actually under the specified length though not by much, still a rule is a rule, and not enforcing it was sketchy)..
Taylor brings up a good point, and given how six max NLH is the most popular and most viewed content you would expect the 6 max entry to receive more votes just based on sheer # of viewers. Given that, I don't believe the competition was fair to the other participants that entered videos for less popular/ less viewed games and the votes should have been weighted to reflect that. .
glad one of the "none pro's" won this since it keeps it freeeesssssshhhhhhh.
Well I am looking forward to lots more bunnies! Congrats Nikachu!.
badugi video was awesome, but it wasn't 6max NLHE. lot's more people watch our 6max videos than our others, i know the votes were still pretty close. thanks to everyone for participating, this was really fun..
Ship it!.
Janda shoulda won. Rigged IMO.
wtf? did nobody watch the badugu video. I thought nikachus video was awesome but i think that the badugi was probably the greatest visual production poker has seen .
how many votes were there total?.
