Matthew Janda is a CardRunners Pro and a Game Theory specialist.  He is known for his posts in the forums commenting on balance and bet-sizing when discussing hand histories.  He was recently a finalist in the CardRunners Video Challenge as well.  Today he is on The Clock.

The 3 websites I spend the most time on are:
IGN, 2+2, Starcitygames

My worst habit is:
Getting pissed off over bad allies on video games.

I’d want my last meal to be:
Steak and Crab

The readers would be surprised to learn that:
I would take full time job for $10/hour if it was one I'd like, but no one wants to hire me for those jobs.

My top 3 favorite movies are:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Ratatouille, and Terminator 2.

Most surprising song on my iPod is:
Probably some Enya song.

The TV Shows I DVR include:
I don't watch almost any TV.

My largest personal indulgence is:
I'm a huge life nit and actually don't spend much money.

The coolest place I’ve traveled to is:
I really love Yellowstone, it's amazing if you've never been there.

I drive a:
Toyota Camry that has 300,000 miles on it that I bought off my parents for $500. Whenever I travel it's usually with friends who have new cars, I just use it to drive locally (mainly to the gym and grocery strore).

The top 3 items on my ‘bucket-list’ include:
Get married, reproduce, and sell a movie script.

If I could go back in time and witness one single event, it would be:
Probably go meet Jesus and bring back a TR.

Favorite Drink at a Bar is:
Margaritas

The talent that I don’t possess that I wish to have is:
I am in the bottom 1% for ability to draw or play music

The biggest pot of poker I’ve ever played was:
Around $2000

Can you describe your computer setup:
Sorry no camera, it's two Dell 20" monitors.

If I could implement any one change to an online poker room, it would be:
100bb minimum buy ins.

My most memorable day in poker was:
I won $6000 in a donkament when I just started playing, splitting action with a friend.

My biggest attribute at the poker table is:
I know the math behind most spots really really well.

If I could re-choose my poker screen name, I would have made it:
Something that induces more tilt, some girlish name like StickerPrincess or something.

The largest amount of cash I’ve ever held in my hand is:
Not much, maybe $600-$700. I never play live and see no reason to carry more.

What was your biggest losing day and what was going through your head afterwards?
I lost $3,500 the other day. I think I was down more at one point though. It was NL$400-NL$600 which I started playing a few months ago so I knew it was coming. I didn't flip out or get tilted but I was quite annoyed since I just lost flip after flip.

Can you describe your typical day as your prepare to grind a session out?
I pretty much just sit down and start. I always start the day saying "I will play Y hours or give charity X dollars." It gets me to grind and often makes charity money.

My biggest poker pet peeve is:
I don't really like it when people 5-bet to an amount they'll never fold to a 6-bet to. Don't 5-bet to 60bb for 100bb stacks, just jam and lets move on with our lives. Also don't take a long time to 5-bet. You were either 4-bet bluffing or you weren't, it's not a spot where acting makes any sense.

If I never found poker, I’d likely be an:
No idea. I plan to eventually get a job either way, just something I like I don't care all that much about the money.

My favorite prop bet that I play regularly is:
Don't prob bet, I'm a nit.

When you are sensing or feeling tilted, what do you do to unwind/relieve the anger?
I don't really get very tilted. I actually probably play better when I'm down money as I  get a lot more aggressive and bluff a lot more. Trying to work on always doing that.
