The 3 websites I spend the most time on are:
Lifehacker.com because I'm a nerd, Slate.com because I'm a nerd, and Cardrunners.com, but only if I get a raise for saying it. Otherwise, it's youtube, mostly because of TED conferences and free Ivy League lecture series.

My worst habit is:
Overstarching my shirts. It hurts my nipples.

I’d want my last meal to be:
Tempura Kobe Steak and a Blue Moon. I dunno if the first part of that exists, but oh it'll be delicious.

The readers would be surprised to learn that:
Whenever I sneeze, I'm scared a loud booming voice behind me will say BLESS YOU

My top 3 favorite movies are:
Wall-E, There Will Be Blood, and the Hangover.

My celebrity crush is:
Justin Bieber obv

The most surprising song on my iPod is:
The entire Wicked the Musical soundtrack. Which is only surprising because 80% of my ipod is like Kanye West and gangsta rap.

The TV Shows I DVR are:
Law and Order, the Daily Show, Futurama, and the Boondocks.

My largest personal indulgence is:
I take a lot of vacations. A LOT. Like, I've gone on four week-long trips in two months, with three more already planned between the summer and fall.

The coolest place I’ve traveled to is:
Just got back from Paris, which was pretty baller.

I drive a:
2004 Aquamarine Nissan Sentra.

The top 3 items on my ‘bucket-list’ include:
Swimming with the manta rays in Mexico, winning the world poetry slam championships, and getting eight-pack abs. Not just six. Eight.

If I could go back in time and witness one single event, it would be:
I dunno. Moses parting the Red Sea? That happened, right? Man, stop living in the past, Alex.

Favorite Drink at a Bar is:
Patron + Water w/ splash of grapefruit. Don't hate till you've tasted it.

The talent that I don’t possess that I wish to have is:
I'd love to play piano. Right now, I can play "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera in its entirety, but not Mary had a Little Lamb.

The biggest pot of poker I’ve ever played was:
A 300bb pot at 5/10 live, 99 vs. AsQs on Qc9s4s. Even though I held up, my adrenaline was so jacked. I'm such a fish.

If I could switch shoes for a day, I’d want to be:
Jonathan Safron Foer, writer of "Everything is Illuminated" and "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close." I'd kill to know how his imagination operates.

Can you describe your computer setup:
Laptop connected to a big monitor. My room is not in order to take a picture.

If I could implement any one change to an online poker room, it would be:
Everytime I misclick fold monsters, a pop-up appears that asks "Are you f**king stupid or something?"

My most memorable day in poker was:
Winning a UB donkament for $36k. Not life-changing, but considering I was playing 25nl at the time, it was my biggest single score ever.

My biggest attribute at the poker table is:
My anti-tilting kitten photo (
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v252/randomcelestial/?action=view&current=tumblr_kywc3tTOQf1qzbqvao1_500.jpg)

If I could re-choose my poker screen name, I would have made it:
ImmediatelyDie

The largest amount of cash I’ve ever held in my hand is:
10k in chips for the ME buy-in last year.

What was your biggest losing day and what was going through your head afterwards?
The most I had ever lost at the end of a day is: I had a -2.7k day at 2/4 last August. Nutedawg was sweating me at the time. O_o  I didn't really sweat it, because I play a 100-150 buy-in rule, but I kept thinking to myself "Man, I lost 3 month's rent today."

Can you describe your typical day as your prepare to grind a session out?
I put on public radio, or some hip-hop, or This American Life, or whatever DVD collection I recently bought (currently Dexter), and just sit and grind.

My biggest poker pet peeve is:
When people think I'm monkeying on them, and they call 3-bets OOP with 76s and crack my monster. It's like Oh, you played like total dogs**t and still won. Justice.

If I never found poker, I’d likely be an:
Poet or actor. I do both right now, and if I ever take time off from poker it'll be to finish a manuscript, or tour more, or compete in slams more. I'm working on a collection of essays on performance theory right now, which I may publish as a textbook down the road.

My favorite prop bet that I play regularly is:
Not really a prop bet, but I'll play chess for large sums of money. I won nearly $1k off some fish playing on a giant chess board at our July 4th party in vegas last year until someone mentioned that I once was a master-class player and the fish quit me. It was like the equivalent to a chess tableratings. TILT.

When you are sensing or feeling tilted, what do you do to unwind/relieve the anger?
I don't tilt much at all, because even when I'm minorly tilted I just snap quit. I almost never, ever play when I'm emotionally unstable, so I never rage-dump money. If I'm annoyed, I'll just go for a long walk, maybe to the zoo down the street, or go get a cup of coffee, or call up a girl and spit hella fly game for a few minutes. And by "hella fly game," I mean whine like a bitch until she hangs up on me. :(

I for sure coach "fly game." $100/hr ship through FTP pls. I think coaching@cardrunners.com will honor fly game coaching requests. I don't really play 1/0 anymore. I'll play like, 5/0 or 3/5, but only for money. Let me know..
