CardRunners is pleased to announce several new pros to its roster. With several of these pros residing in Europe, they will provide a deeper look at the keys to winning in today’s games.
Joao Barbosa – Joao Barbosa is a poker professional who resides in Portugal. Though he is best known for his tournament success and wins in events at EPT Season 7 Deauville, EPT Season 6 San Remo, and EPT Season 5 Polish Open, he has also had success at the cash tables. He’s been a regular at stakes ranging from $400NL/PLO to $5,000NL/PLO. He is Portugal’s all-time leading money winner with over $1.1 Million in career earnings and will be producing 6-max NL Cash Game and MTT videos at CardRunners.

Stefan “sh58” Haffner – Stefan Haffner started dabbling in poker online back in 2007 after graduating from the University of Sussex with a degree in music. He started playing $3 SNGs before moving on to MTTs and microstakes NL cash games.

After joining CardRunners, he honed his skills and began building a bankroll, which lead to his decision to postpone his career as a professional pianist and play poker. After two years of playing, he began studying game theory and successfully applying those concepts to his own game. He can now be found playing $600NL to $1000NL heads-up across several different sites. He will be producing mid-high stakes heads-up NLHE videos at CardRunners.
Christopher “CeeGee” George – Christopher George began playing Five Card Draw with his Dad as a kid, and developed a knack for mixed game poker. He has coached players of all skill levels and understands the importance of Metagame and theory when playing mixed games, as well as the nuances between cash and MTT mixed game play. His accomplishments include several cashes at the WSOP including cashes in the $10,000 World Championship Events for Omaha H/L, Stud 8/b, and Stud-Hi in 2011. He will be producing a wide array of videos including 2-7, Stud Hi, and Omaha H/L.
Jonas “Liqqa” Gjelstad - Liqqa is a 20 year old poker player from Norway. He built his bankroll by playing lowstakes SNG in 2007, before settling in at NLHE HU cash. A few years later, he began studying heads-up PLO and has played it exclusively for about two years. He will be making mid-stakes heads-up PLO videos and is available for private lessons.
The debut videos for each of the pros will be available throughout the beginning of January 2012. Be sure to check out our special offer, a 50% discount on one year subscriptions. Offer ends soon.
